The Yurt - A roundhouse retreat!

We love our home. Maybe it's the shape, maybe it's the river (boat access only makes it pretty unique and quiet!) ...maybe it's the trees, or the birds... but it's got something magical. It's beautifully designed, simple, and furnished with some cozy and unique pieces. For us, it's a pleasure to welcome friends and family around to share in this special space - and now we'd like to extend that welcome to you! Bar Point is a stunning and unique spot on the Hawkesbury River. The space It's exciting to try and live a more sustainable, 'off-grid' lifestyle – and The Yurt has plenty of features to support this! Rainwater, a 'rot-a-loo' composting toilet, minimal phone reception, and plenty of time amongst the trees. The Yurt includes for your use one lush bedroom for two, which opens onto a lower balcony with hammocks and seating, a bathroom with shower, an open plan dining and living space, which opens onto a larger balcony with outside dining and BBQ. Both balconies have beautiful, filtered river views. Guest access Bar Point is just 10 minutes by boat up River from Mooney Mooney. Most people visiting for a short stay come via water taxi. If you have your own boat you can also park in our jetty spot (for boats 4.7 metres and under). Alternatively, catch The Riverboat Postman from Brooklyn, or even kayak!
