Forget-Me-Not cabin - Kasilof
Adjacent to Johnson Lake State Park with great trout fishing, this cozy, secluded cabin is 1 mile from the Kasilof River and 12 miles from the Kenai River and Solditna. Both places provide excellent salmon fishing. It is totally cleaned and sanitized prior to each new arrival. It is a one room cabin with an upstairs sleeping loft. The loft has an alcove suitable for children This is a peaceful private setting in the woods, within walking distance of the lake. We have a fire circle for private use or as a place to visit with hosts or friends. This is a freestanding cabin with a full kitchen including stove, refrigerator, cooking utensils and dishes. Breakfast supplies are also provided. The sleeping area can be configured with a king size bed or two single beds. Please specify your preference. There is also an alcove with a queen size bed suitable for children. The stairway to the sleeping area is rather steep and not advisable for people with mobility issues. The bathroom include a shower, but no tub. The covered front porch is a lovely place to do your grilling on our large propane grill. The owners are next-door and readily available, in person or by phone to meet any needs or provide additional supplies. The town of Kasilof is just 25 miles from Kenai and 12 miles from Soldotna. We are about 5 miles from Clam Gulch and 25 miles from Ninilchik. It makes any of these areas readily accessible for either charter fishing or river fishing. Johnson Lake State Park with its great trout and Dolly Varden is right across the road. Owners will be happy to provide transportation for anyone flying in. Personal planes may land at Lawler strip, with permission. This is one half mile from the cabin. We have a large fish cleaning table with running water. We also have a vaccum packer and feep freezer available for you use.
