Rabbits is a 1 bedroom , 2 guest , secluded , private earthen home set in the side of a hill. With own drive and parking . Made almost entirely from materials available on site and wood from nearby trees. Features a gigantic open living area with huge log burner , impressive fireplace of local stone and rock , many unusual furnishings including a hand built table made from barn beams . The bedroom is large and spacious with en suite unusual feature shower and basin. Solar powered throughout. The space Once you arrive on the property and drive down on your own private drive to your dedicated parking, you will come across Rabbits set into the hillside. This very private and secluded property is away from other cabins and a perfect retreat. The gigantic open plan living area provides spacious and relaxed sitting room, kitchen and dining facility. Set back from here is the large enclosed and private bedroom with en suite shower room featuring unusual shower and basin with toilet suite. This rustic earth house was built in the traditional earth-house style, with walls made from old tyres and filled with the earth that was excavated from the site the house is built on. The water supply originates in the moor's springs and (as it has passed filtration) when you drink the tap water you will find it tastes sweet and clean! When you open the door to the earth house (which will be yours exclusively), you will find a mix of old and new: reclaimed characterful pieces will add a rustic feel, whilst the log burner and gas secondary heating and shower will make your stay comfortable .From the minute you open, the entire cottage is yours! .Rabbits has a rustic spacious king size bedroom, a large wet room and luxurious unusual shower. You have your own equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room with log burner, and plentiful wood which we will supply for you. I provide freshly ground coffee tea and sugar and complimentary milk in the fridge. Outside and apart from the views already mentioned is an outdoor dining area and barbecue space. I can provide a barbeque and charcoal for £ 10 ,or bring your own disposable one with you. Infants are welcome, as are well behaved dogs. (please just check with me first before booking). We make a charge of £18 per day (reducing for longer stays ) for a dog guest payable at time of booking. Contact me for a payment link. Step outside and you will find a pretty dining area - a sun trap with great views , all in its own secluded grounds, with ample parking. Rabbits is in the ideal location for South Devon. you will find Totnes, South Brent and Ivybridge on your doorstep as well as being 5 minutes from Dartmoor, and only a 20 minute drive from Devon's famous sandy beaches. For the business traveller, our cottage is only a 20 minute drive to Plymouth and 35 minutes to historical Exeter. You will not just fall in love with our cottage but also the location. The perfect base for all that Devon has to offer. When you book the 1 bedroom option you will have all the space and access to the 1 main bedroom . Should you require 2 bedrooms just book the 2 bedroom option. Other things to note Rabbits Warren is very much a one off , off grid experience. comfort and the eco aspect are a large part of the cabin. Recycled materials are used throughout. In order to be able to offer this experience to all our guests, we have a low base price at at any time . Guests can then add from a priced menu of enhancements to suit their comfort needs. For example, extra wood above the wood provided for the log burner can be purchased by the bin load at £ 12 to give those guests requiring it a higher interior temperature. as a long time rural Devon local , there is not much that I don't know about this area. A unique service I can offer is personalised Devon tours. Some of my most popular tours are spooky Dartmoor tours, taking in spots of ghostly happenings and Dartmoor prison and also Dartmoor sightseeing trips, all with time for swimming and feeding the famous Dartmoor ponies. I charge for these trips at a daily rate and will be happy to tailor something to your specifications! Just let me know if you are interested. We do have 2 pets, but they are not allowed in the accommodation. There is Dottie the Dalmatian, A loveable friendly playful bundle of fun. We also have a ginger tabby named captain Jack livingstone Stanley but you will be lucky if you can find him before he finds you. We do not have fenced garden areas for dogs, we expect guests to keep dogs within the area of the cabin or on a lead. All dog waste must be collected and left in the waste bin at the top of the drive .
