The house is a charming upstate NY Colonial. The bedrooms are cozy and the living space is comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted with quality pots and pans, bakeware, dishware, and silverware. There are options for workspaces. Sunlight brightens all rooms of the house at various times of the day. The house has everything you might need to fully enjoy your time here in the capital district. The space The house is our family home. We are renting it while we are away for work. We have many amenities to help you feel comfortable while you are here. The house is charming with many original details such as built-in bookcases and display cabinets. The kitchen was renovated in 2018, but we kept the 19040s feel with a breakfast nook. The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday cooking. Pots and pans, and silverware and dishware for 8. There is a formal dining room and living room. Both spaces are used by our kids everyday, so they have a cozy feeling, too. The TV room has books, board games, an art space and an out-of-tune piano ;). Bikes are available and we are only a half mile from the Mohawk-Hudson Rail Trail. A kayak and a canoe are available, too. We are 15 minutes from the town kayak launch on the Hudson River. Guests will have access to one garage stall. Please be aware: A dog has lived in the house. Laundry is in the basement. Window air-conditioning units are available for summer months. Public transportation to the grocery story and downtown Albany is a 3 minute walk. The public library, places of worship, coffee shops, locally owned restaurants, a bookstore, and gift shops are all within walking distance. We chose to move to this neighborhood because of this walkability and the schools. The house would be ideal for someone who needs a longer-term stay while they relocate to the area or has a short-term contract with one of the local hospitals or industries. It is a great house for families because our schools are #1 in the Capital District. The house is within walking distance of the local elementary school and the middle school. The high school is 2 miles away with a bus stop at the corner. Bi-weekly cleaning is included. Other things to note The house has 4 stairs leading to the front door. 4 Stairs lead from the TV room to the living room. 4 stairs lead from the mudroom to the kitchen. All the bedrooms are on the second floor (13 stairs). Laundry is in the basement (10 stairs). Cars must be parked in the driveway because of the residential quality of the neighborhood. The driveway is narrow. The garage parking can be negotiated at time of rental. In winter months snow removal cost will be added. Bi-weekly cleaning on monthly stays are required.
