The Scout Cabin was originally part of a group cabins from the early 1900s. Over the years, different owners have made additions and updates, but it still has some of its original structure. Now it is a cozy two bedroom house with an open living and dining area, a bonus area with an additional sleeper loveseat, and a spacious patio. It is centrally located - just one block from the center of Carterville’s downtown - and easily accessible to many Southern Illinois activities and attractions. The space The Scout Cabin was originally built in the early 1900s and has had multiple updates and uses over the years. We recently updated the property and added the fenced in patio area to accommodate guests wanting to visit Southern Illinois. The back patio does include outdoor seating and a fire pit. The cabin has two bedrooms and an open living and dining area with an extra sleeping area with a pull-out couch. The living room has an electric fire place, and there is a television in the living room and both bedrooms. The cabin also has an office area, a full kitchen, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Guest access The entire cabin is available during your rental, as well as, a rock driveway for parking and a back concrete patio in a fenced in area for relaxing. Other things to note There are several area attractions, restaurants, wineries, lakes, and parks to enjoy nearby the Scout Cabin.
