Just a couple of miles from the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the property has been imaginatively converted from a 200-year-old stables and coach house serving the old rectory. The space With ample space for up to four guests, this cheerful hideaway has been charmingly updated to provide an ideal base for walkers, nature lovers and cyclists discovering the area’s beautiful valleys, quaint market towns and historic landmarks. The cottage features a cosy and welcoming lounge with a large corner sofa and TV, providing a great space to sit back and relax after a wonderful day exploring the Dales. The light, fresh and airy country-style kitchen/diner is perfect for getting together to prepare and share delicious family feasts. When it’s time to retire for the night, head upstairs where you will have a choice between a lovely double room and a comfortable super-king-size room, each with plenty of storage space. The accommodation is rounded off with a stylish shower room. Outside, the south-facing walled courtyard looks out towards the village’s medieval church and makes a pleasant spot to sit on the bench with a glass of wine in the evening. Spennithorne lies on the outskirts of Leyburn (1.5 miles) which has a host of great places to eat and drink, and is home to the famous Tennants Auctioneers. Harmby Waterfall is just a mile away, with other local attractions including Wensley Waterfall, Bolton Castle, Thorp Perrow, Jervaulx Abbey, The Forbidden Corner and the remains of Richard III’s Middleham Castle, all within 10 miles. Heading into the Yorkshire Dales (2 miles) there are magnificent walks and trails offering breathtaking rural scenery. House Rules Additional information and rules 1 dog allowed per booking.
