Creekside: Offgrid A-Frame

Just 13 miles from Cooperstown and 8 miles from Cherry Valley, it's an ideal base for exploring or unwinding off the grid. Welcome to relaxation! The space Escape to our secluded 80 sq ft A-Frame cabin in the woods for a serene "glamping" (no electricity) experience. Situated on an 8x13 platform with an 8x10 living space, enjoy creek views from the unique liftable window wall and queen-sized bed. Outside, find a picnic area, fire pit, and two Adirondack chairs. Access the separate outhouse on your way from the vehicle. A-Frame: Queen size bed Pillows and linens Picnic table Lighting (solar and re-chargeable lanterns) Misc cooking items - Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil - Grill tongs, grill spatula, 1 small pot, 1 small pan, pot holders - Eating Utensils for 2: plates, cups, bowls, silverware, steak knives, coffee mugs - Misc.: 1 cutting knife, 1 cutting board HEATING: - Fire-pit -Buddy heater available as your only indoor heating option * please bring your own 1 lb propane tanks for use* there are none provided for your stay at the cabin. -Firewood: Guests are welcome to explore the property and gather sticks and wood for fires free of charge. For added convenience, wood bundles are available for purchase. The Outhouse (shared space with another A-Frame rental): - 1 Hand Towel - Hand soap - Water Basin - Mirror Seasonal Outdoor Shower (Propane): *CLOSED* - 2 Bath Towels - 2 Wash Cloths - Sierra Dawn Campsuds Peppermint All Purpose Clean Since the outhouse is located in a separate space, we recommend packing slip on footwear to make it easy to go back and forth. Arrival details: Please review the check-in instructions and directions provided by Airbnb carefully before your trip. It’s very important to double-check which cabin you have booked — we have two cabins on the property! If you are unsure of which cabin you’ve booked, please refer to your “My Trips” tab on your Airbnb app. Your booking information will specify if you booked “Hillside” or “Creekside” and review your cabin photo - both cabins do not look the same or have the same amentities. Failure to check-in to the correct cabin, may result in an additional fee. • Look for the driveway just past our large barn with rock signs labeled “Creekside” and “Hillside.” Other things to note Check-In: 3PM EST, Check Out: 11 AM EST Please be aware that while you have access to an outhouse (shared) and a queen-size bed, this rural retreat offers a camping-like experience with limited heat, no electricity, or running water. We provide water for handwashing at the outhouse . Extreme weather and wildlife encounters, including squirrels, snakes, mice, deer, coyotes and rarely bears, may occur. Visit the NYS DEC website for tips on avoiding attracting black bears. Pet Policy: Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at Creekside A-frame. You may encounter our two Australian Shepherds, Raleigh and Jasmine, during your stay. Although friendly, they may not always want to play with other dogs. Service & Wi-Fi: Cell phone service and Wi-Fi are unreliable in this area. Please be prepared for limited connectivity during your stay. We suggest saving our address in a mapping app before your service is limited. Upon Arrival: Turn into the driveway after the large white barn (shown in listing photos). Look for rocks painted "Creekside" on the left. Follow arrows along the field edge to your parking spot. *Please take note of which A-frame cabin you have selected. There are two rentals on the property.* Use the provided wagon to transport your items to the A-frame. If arriving after dark, we can leave a lantern at the walking path's end. Low vehicles may struggle in the grassy field; please message us for assistance. Early Check-Ins or Late Check-Outs: Please note that early or late check-ins are only allowed with prior approval and will incur a $30/hour fee. Because some check-in changes may not be accommodated, be sure to contact us directly to request and confirm any adjustments to check-in times. Cleaning fee: Our cleaning fee is set at a low $30 to help maintain affordability, with the expectation that guests will follow the closing rules by washing dishes, taking out the trash, keeping the common areas/outhouse clean, and leaving the space tidy. If these guidelines are not followed (ex. Unwashed dishes, food left out, fire pit pushed in or left with garbage/cigarette butts in it, misc. items scattered on camp ground, overflowing trash, etc.), an additional cleaning fee of $50 will apply.
