Welcome to my cozy spot in the McKinney neighborhood of southeast Austin - 7 miles to downtown! Off the beaten path, this location is just 10 minutes away from the airport and a short drive to great restaurants, bars, and music venues in South and East Austin. Dedicated workspace available. The space Newly renovated space is simple and geared toward short to mid-term stays. This is my home and I am not a short-term rental investor! I've got a pour-over and drip coffee setup, basic cookware and utensils, and a fire extinguisher underneath the kitchen sink (hopefully you never have to reach for it). Speaking of fires, if you end up using the fireplace please ensure that the flue is open before starting one. Please also note that if the smoke alarm is activated, I will receive an alert and will most likely head over to check on the place - just shoot me a text if it's a non-emergency. The bedrooms have closets with hangers to accommodate your clothing and low benches for your luggage. The bedside lamps have USB charging ports and are activated by touch. You'll also find a DOHM white noise fan in each bedroom for those of us that are light sleepers. The bathrooms are stocked with three body towels, two hand towels, and two wash cloths each and a couple of rolls of toilet paper. The back patio has two lounge chairs with string lights that automatically turn on at dusk. During your stay Feel free to call or text me if I'm not home. I have a pretty typical 9-5 schedule so, if I'm home, it'll be evenings during workdays and weekends. Other things to note Please note, the nightly rate *includes* the City of Austin required 11% hotel occupancy tax. I do offer a 30 day discount but it's not automated in the booking process.
