Description

Built on the edge of the village in 2012 next to the gorge, entire two-story stone building is given, warm, traditional house, in the absolute silence of the mountain, bathed in the light and aromas of the plants and herbs of the Vikos canyon. At the entrance of the house there is a balcony and a large paved yard where you can sit and enjoy its unique view. In the threshing floor in the back yard of the house, you can hear the echo of your voice from the Gorge with a view of Monodendri village. The space The house is located in Ano Vitsa, at the highest point of the village (1050 m altitude), with an unlimited view of the square of Vitsa and the mountain peaks of Zagori. It is a two-storey stone house with main entrance on the upper floor in a single living room with fireplace, kitchen and wc. On the ground floor with an internal staircase there are 2 bedrooms, each with an independent entrance, with the bathroom. It is ideal for accommodating 4 to 6 people, with a maximum of 10. From the main road of the village there is a narrow cobbled 200 m. (accessible by almost all types of vehicles, with careful driving), which leads to the entrance of the house and the double covered parking. There is access on foot and from the upper main road of the village (50 m.). Guest access In all the areas included in the stone-built paddocks of the house from the parking areas, the front and back yard, the balcony and the back threshing floor. Other things to note Vitsa is one of the few capital villages located in the heart of Zagorochoria, an ideal destination for all kinds of excursions, from Papigo to Tsepelovo and the Sarakatsani huts in Gyftokambos. Write "NEW YORK TIMES VITSA FESTIVAL" and "Dancing on the edges of Vikos - SI, EN, EN .G R" to read, see and understand the magic of this place and the biggest three-day festival that takes place in all of Epirus in the square of Vitsa under its huge plane tree. I recommend some tours and hikes to not so touristic but beautiful and special places. To go to all of them you will need several days, so they should be well organized if you decide to do it and you are in the mood for kilometers and hikes. From Vitsa to Mikro Papigo you can go to the village of Vikos, go down the Skala Vikos (25'), to the ravine and reach the small church at the springs of Voidomatis. Then after Aristi on your left before reaching the bridge, you can visit the monastery of Panagia Spiliotisa, an easy walk through the plane trees next to Voidomatis. Finally, just before you reach Mikro Papigo on your left, be sure to stop to walk in Kolymbithres, an amazing sculpture of nature with small lakes and a stream. If you go towards Gyftokambos and Heliohori you can stop on the right side of the road at the picturesque church of Ag. Mina or soon after to the left of your street in the atmospheric Dilofo. After crossing the unique bridge of Kokkori going towards Tsepelovo, turn left towards the highest village of Zagorochoria (1300 m.), Vradetto. After the village with a 40' gentle hike, you will reach the amazing balcony of Vikos canyon "Beloi". Then towards Tsepelovo, on your right there is a monastery from where a path starts to go down to the amazing gorge "Vikaki" (40'), a river and a single-arched bridge. If you reach the beautiful plateau of Gyftokampos, make a stop at the Sarakatsani Huts, you will be impressed by the place (inside the huts there is a wooden tavern for rest, or for those who are thirsty and hungry). Finally, with a 1 km easy hike through a wonderful landscape and a stone bridge (30'), from Heliohori to Laista, an incredible place are the Mpalta di Striga waterfalls. These are three waterfalls in a row, with the largest of them being over 25 meters high. Between them and inside the rocks, pools (ovires) are formed created by the rushing and frozen waters of the Kryopotamos river. Anyone who can bear it and depending on the weather can swim. Have fun.
