Bicheno bus retreat

Welcome to the Bicheno Bus Retreat. This is a special & unique accommodation experience. The bus is situated on a private 8 acre property 4km from the town centre of Bicheno - nestled in between the beautiful Douglas Apsley National Park and the stunning beaches of the Dennison River. The bus is a fully functional, Off Grid, home on wheels. Complete with a kitchen, separate shower, composting toilet and Tasmania’s comfiest Queen bed. Enjoy a wine 🍷 & the stars ✨ by the outside fire 🔥 The space The bus is a very cozy 1974 Bedford. It was operating as a school bus in Victoria from 1974-1994, it was then converted into a motorhome. I rescued it from ruin on a farm in Queensland and renovated it before driving her home to Bicheno. We have cleared a spot for her in the bush 100m from my house. You have full privacy, but I am around if you need help. The bus is solar powered with 240v power through out, has a full size gas oven, full size fridge, separate composting toilet, separate shower, gas hot water, one large oil heater and fans for cooling - no aircon (yet). You also have a BBQ for outside cooking and an outdoor shower for washing off after a surf Guest access Self check in on the property Other things to note This accommodation is surrounded by beautiful coastal bush and trees, it is very peaceful and private. You will definitely see lots of Wallabies, possums and echidnas, as well as many different bird species. The bus is also not suitable for young children unfortunately.
