Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage at the very heart of Stratford upon Avon. Bard’s Nest Scholars Cottage is a newly refurbished cottage, finished to a high standard. - Free on-street parking for 1 car on the same street of the cottage or nearby streets. - 5 mins walk to RSC. - 2 bedrooms: 1 king bed, 2 single beds; Egyptian cotton linen. - 1 foldaway single bed for the 5th guest in lounge. - 2 modern bathrooms, 2 walk-in showers. - Fully equipped kitchen. - Tranquil garden. The space The space Originally a 19th century cottage and recently refurbished in 2023, Bard’s Nest Scholars Cottage is about 5 minutes’ walk to Royal Shakespeare’s Theatre, 8 minutes to the Birthplace; a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants are just around the corner; it is the ideal holiday accommodation to explore Stratford upon Avon, the nearby Warwick Castle and the picturesque Cotswolds area. One small-medium sized, well-behaved dog is welcomed, with an additional charge of £20 per stay. The dog is welcome to stay on the ground floor, but NOT on furniture or 1st Floor ( please use the safety gate on the stairs) PARKING: Free on-street parking for 1 car on the same street of the cottage or nearby streets. You may not be able to park right in front of the cottage, at the time of your arrival, due to town centre popularity; however there are a great number of nearby streets for parking as well, you should be able to find a space if you don’t mind a little walk back to the cottage. We will provide you the detailed parking spots once booked. Also, there’s plenty of space opposite the cottage for you to pull up the car temporarily to unload your luggage first. GROUND FLOOR: Lounge / dining room Lounge is fitted with a 3 seater sofa, armchair, a 43" Smart TV offering NETFLIX service + Free-view channels, and a DVD player. The 70MB Wifi allows you to enjoy speedy online surfing. 1 large dining table / chairs. 1 small desk / chair for your reading, make up or office work. 1 foldaway single bed will automatically be set up for the 5th guest in the lounge (ground floor). ( Please NOTE: the lounge SPACE will feel a little TIGHTER with the foldaway bed.) If only4 guests (or fewer) but STILL need the foldaway bed in the lounge ( ground floor), please INDICATE in the booking, there is an ADDITIONAL charge of £35. Kitchen A modern, sleek kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven/grill, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine (initial supply of pods provided), large fridge/ freezer, kettle, toaster, pan, steamer, crockery and cutlery and other cooking basics. It is also fitted with a dishwasher and a washer/ dryer. Bathroom 2 (Ground floor) Ground floor bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror and heated towel rail; quality Egyptian cotton towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries provided. Garden At the rear of the property, is a south-facing patio garden, with a garden table / chairs where guests can sit and unwind. 1st FLOOR: Bedroom 1 king size bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen, large window facing the garden, black-out curtains, wardrobe with shelf & clothes hangers, wall hooks, iron / ironing board, hair dryer and armchair. 1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own baby linen, as this is not provided) Bedroom 2 2 single beds, wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix, Egyptian cotton bed linen, south facing window, black-out curtains, wardrobe with shelf & clothes hangers, wall hooks, hair dryer and armchair. Bathroom 1 (1st Floor) 1st floor bathroom, fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror and heated towel rail; quality Egyptian cotton towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries provided. Parking for the 2nd car? For 2nd car, there are a couple of public car parks nearby, one is 4 mins’ walk away, £1 / hour £15/ per day; The other 8 mins walk away, about £1.3 / hour, £11/ per day. The longer, the cheaper. Details available after booking confirmation. Guest access Bard's Nest, Scholars Cottage, is set for self check-in with door code. Free on-street parking for 1 car on nearby streets. Other things to note -Check in is any time after 4:00 pm. -Check out is LATEST BY 11:00AM - DOG: 1 small or medium-sized dog is welcome, please say if you are bringing the dog; there is an additional £20 per stay, please pay together with your room reservation; if not, will request through Airbnb resolution centre. Dog NOT allowed on furniture or 1st floor, please use the safety gate on the stairs. Please make sure you check & clear any dog waste, prior to the check out. There is an extra £10 charge for clearing the dog waste. -Strictly no smoking or vaping, inside or out. - No parties. - The foldaway bed: 1 foldaway single bed will ONLY automatically be set up for the 5th guest in the lounge (ground floor). ( Please NOTE: the lounge SPACE will feel a little TIGHTER with the foldaway bed.) If only 4 guests (or fewer) but STILL need the foldaway bed in the lounge, please INDICATE in the booking, there is an additional charge of £35. - 1 travel cot, 1 highchair are available upon request (please BRING your OWN baby sheet/ bedding, as this is NOT provided). For kids' safety, a Safety Gate is also available on top of the stairs. - Please don’t leave make up on the white bed linen. - Please clean up your cooking prior to departure. - Please ENSURE you LOCK the door prior to departure. - Free on-street permit parking for 1 car on the same street of the cottage or nearby streets. Please inform us of your car number if you come with 1 car.
