You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. The Abbey is a hidden gem in Oxfordshire with 800 years of history. A place to stop, think and simply be. A lovely light and airy first floor twin bedroom overlooking the garden with a shared bathroom The space The Abbey Chestnut Room is a comfortable room - with a shared bathroom - located on the first floor of our beautiful medieval Abbey. Guests can enjoy a simple no-cook breakfast in the dining room on the ground floor. If a retreat is taking place during your stay, breakfast will instead be served in your room to ensure minimal disruption for both retreat participants and guests. If you prefer to have breakfast in your room even when no retreat is taking place, we’re happy to accommodate this. Weather permitting, breakfast can also be served in the garden at the back of the Abbey, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy other shared spaces within the Abbey, such as the Hearth and the Library, subject to availability and any other guest bookings. You’re also free to wander through our peaceful grounds and explore the kitchen garden, making the most of the unique setting during your stay. During your stay There is a small resident team at the Abbey who will support guests during their stay. Other things to note Your host is the Charity Manager and live on-site.
