Welcome to ”Grand Getaway," your Saint Paul urban retreat. Built in 1908, our home offers a blend of historic charm with comfort. The turn of the century architecture add a touch of elegance, creating an ambiance that's both inviting & timeless. We’ve embraced the historical significance of our home with antique decorations like old Saint Paul post cards, vintage trinkets and a decorative piano painted green for a splash of color. The space The heart of this grand escape is the large dining room table, perfect for hosting memorable gatherings. Between the large table and sectional couch your party should be able to fit on the main floor to spend quality time together. As you explore the property, you'll discover five bedrooms, each offering a peaceful retreat with a total of ten beds to accommodate your group comfortably (1 king, 3 queens and 6 twins). Enjoy the 10 ft projector screen in the living room, great for a movie night. You’ll find 3 additional tv’s including one in the screened in porch. The bunk room, designed to accommodate six guests, adds a playful touch for those seeking a unique sleeping arrangement. Step outside into the screened-in porch, where you can unwind with seating for eight, this space is an ideal spot for enjoying a morning coffee or a relaxing evening with friends. Don’t miss the unfinished basement, which provides a fun space for late night activities like ping pong… feel free to wear shoes as the floor is unfinished concrete. Guest access This home features 3 levels of living space plus a screened in porch! Main floor features living room, dining room,kitchen, access to screened- in porch and a full bath with renovated tile shower. The second floor has a full bathroom with clawfoot tub and three bedrooms with a king size bed in one, a queen in one and two bunk beds with trundles in the third room (all twin beds). Lastly the third floor has two more bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The basement is unfinished, but we have provided a ping-pong table and a small workout area for guest use. Other things to note Comfortably sleeps 15, additional guests upon request (with couch sleeping arrangements). We’ve made some recent upgrades based on guest feedback like adding air conditioning to the main floor. Please note this is an older home, half of a duplex (Airbnb doesn’t have the option to list it as such). You have a private entrance and your own screened- in porch but the backyard is not private. None of the bedrooms are on the main floor and there are several steps to enter the home.
