Gîte Le Mas - Charm and nature in the heart of Périgord

We are delighted to welcome you to our charming holiday cottage, “Le Mas,” a beautifully restored 19th-century stone farmhouse with exposed wooden beams, combining authentic character with modern comfort. Nestled in a peaceful and lush natural setting, the cottage offers uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay close to nature. The space The cottage features a fully equipped open-plan kitchen set beneath a stunning cathedral ceiling, a master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room, a second bedroom with a double bed, a third bedroom with two single beds, an additional shower room with toilet, and a mezzanine area equipped with a television. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. You will also have access to a washing machine, dishwasher, and a selection of board games for enjoyable moments with family or friends. During the season, guests can enjoy the shared swimming pool (shared only with us, the owners), accessible throughout the day, as well as a private outdoor terrace furnished for al fresco dining. A barbecue is also available. A large private parking area ensures easy and secure parking. The cottage is located in a peaceful hamlet of just eight homes, only a 5-minute drive from the village of Corgnac-sur-l’Isle, where you will find a restaurant, café-bar, pharmacy, post office, doctors, local shops, and a bakery service. Just 10 minutes away, the town of Thiviers offers all essential amenities, including supermarkets, banks, restaurants, and a wide range of shops. Many renowned tourist attractions are nearby, including the picturesque village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, the castles of Jumilhac and Hautefort, Brantôme (the “Venice of Périgord”), Périgueux, the Auvézère Gorges, the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, the Villars and Tourtoirac caves, and the famous Périgord Noir, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Nearby swimming spots include the Nantheuil leisure lake (7 km) and Rouffiac Lake (24 km). You will also enjoy easy access to excellent local markets: Thiviers (Saturday mornings year-round and Tuesday mornings in season), Saint-Jean-de-Côle (organic market on Wednesday mornings), Brantôme (Tuesday and Friday mornings), and Périgueux (Wednesday and Saturday mornings).
