Family villa with pool in North Sicily

Up to 22 guests can stretch out and have fun under the sun here. The villa’s peaceful location, infinity pool, space, and traditional style make is a real find for an authentic Sicilian location. You can easily get to know Sicily’s wonderful north coast with its vibrant towns and stunning beaches nearby. The space Characteristic stone walls and terracotta tiles add a real characteristic Sicilian feel to the villa’s interiors. Walk from the veranda and enter into the large living/dining area. The living area has sofas, and there’s an open fireplace that only adds to the traditional atmosphere. The dining area has exposed brick walks and curved arches creating a unique space for meals spent with loved ones. The kitchen has everything you need to cook authentic meals, as well as traditional local tiles adding colour. There’s also a large bathroom near the kitchen with a shower. There are four double bedrooms on the first floor, each with their own ensuite bathroom with a shower. The master bedroom is on this floor with a romantic four-poster bed and French windows with views out to Alicudi. There are two further double bedrooms on the second floor; one with a bathroom with a bath tub, the other with a bathroom with a shower. This second floor also has a quadruple bedroom with one double bed and two single beds which is great for families travelling with young children. A separate guesthouse is set apart from the villa. This is ideal for a couple looking for a bit more privacy. The guest house has a double bed, a shower with local tiles in the bedroom, and an ensuite bathroom with shower. The villa’s large garden is littered with shady spots and terraces and has deckchairs, umbrellas, tables, chairs and benches where you can sit down, relax, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the endless countryside views. There’s a mosaic pathway in the garden inspired by the nearby Fiume d’Arte collection that leads to a breakfast area. The highlight for many is the infinity pool. The pool area is slightly at apart from the villa and is surrounded by decking and sun umbrellas. From here you can enjoy the magnificent views out over the sea and towards the Aeolian Islands. Other things to note Countryside roads in Sicily are often unpaved and bumpy. For this reason we strongly suggest to rent a car with high ground clearance. The road leading to the villa is very narrow and has several twists and turns and is not suitable for wide vehicles. The extensive olive groves surrounding Il Vignale feature the fine Ogliarola olive variety. Olive harvesting and pressing occurs between October and November and guests who visit during this period will have the opportunity to take part directly in the production of olive oil from branch to bottle.
