The space The 10 acre hill top property is surrounded by larger acreages; the northern outlook takes in farmland, bush, and the Warburton Ranges; and looking south distant views of Western Port and Port Phillip can be seen. Conveniently located an hour from Melbourne CBD, the Breadshed is in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges and central to The Yarra Valley, Gippsland, and Phillip Island. Local Cafes and Restaurants, Take away venues and supermarkets are within a 10 minute drive encompassing the small towns of Emerald, Cockatoo, and Gembrook. Guest access New life came to our old Shed with the 2023 renovation. After several very different lives, the Shed was transformed from a Bakery, known as the Breadshed, into a comfy, modern living space. The reno includes a new north facing sunny deck, newly polished concrete floors, a timber mezzanine, recycled fittings and fresh paint. It is furnished creating an easy, comfy, open-plan living space. Double glazed windows add to the quiet comfort while the space is heated and cooled with a split system. The recycled kitchen boasts lots of storage, new hardwood bench tops, all electric stove top and oven, microwave and full size fridge. The large bedroom area accommodates the King size bed easily and includes its own vanity, separate from the main bathroom, and plenty of wardrobe storage for the longer stay. A quiet study corner with a vintage bureau is set-up for a work space if the need arises. Your accommodation is quite separate to the main house, with access via your own driveway. There is ample parking for more than one car and with easy turning space. The entire Shed is yours to enjoy and includes a large and versatile, secure storage space where you may choose to park your car or store your bikes and other possessions as necessary. It also offers accessibility for those with mobility needs to enter the accommodation without any steps. Other things to note Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on the north facing deck with an abundance of bird Iife, meandering echidnas, and bouncing kangaroos within your gaze. You may hear the renowned steam train Puffing Billy making its way through the valley below. If you'd like to stretch your legs beyond the deck, a ridge top walk taking in the northern and southern views is a must. Venturing further afield Emerald Lake Park, Gembrook, and Sherbrooke Forest are popular destinations for walking or cycling. Healesville Sanctuary, Warburton Trail, and the Yarra River are all attractions within an easy half-hour drive. Motorcyclists enjoy the country roads through the Warburton and Strzelecki Ranges, Black Spur, and Marysville. Our area is varied, from the coast to the mountains, beautiful, close to nature, and a most relaxing and rewarding place to spend time.
