Relax on the couch while enjoying the breeze off the lake through the sliding doors. All while hearing the waves crash just a few feet away. Admire the stunning panoramic views of Lake Ontario from our cozy living room or outside on the back deck. The views never disappoint! This home is a great place for couples or families to create lasting memories and enjoy the calming effects of the lake. The space Spacious 2-bedroom home with a queen bed in each room. Our cozy living room offers a large pull-out sleeper couch, a smart TV and views of the lake. The dining area is set up with a high-top table and a couch overlooking the lake to enjoy while drinking your morning coffee or tea. Steps lead down into the water so you can take a dip at your leisure, swimming is at your own risk. The kitchen has most of the basics you may need to prepare food and cook. In the summer we have comfy chairs we put out to enjoy the view of the lake. The winters can be unpredictable, so we do not leave furniture out in the wintertime. But the insane views are all year round! The Black River Bay is an extension of Lake Ontario as well as the Black River. Both are world renowned for fishing. An angler's pot of gold, no matter the season. Directly across the lake is the village of Sackets Harbor famously known for the War of 1812.The chalet is only a 30-minute scenic drive to the beautiful 1000 Islands which straddle the borders of the US & Canada. The driveway has room for 2 vehicles or a vehicle and boat. No boat dock available. * 1 window AC in the living room and 1 in the larger bedroom. Keep doors of bedrooms open to allow air flow to keep cool in all rooms. AC only available in the summer months early Mid May- early September. Nearby: Fort Drum- 30 min Watertown (grocery stores, shopping, restaurants)-21 min drive Sackets Harbor- 18 min drive Clayton located on the St Lawrence River (part of the 1000 Islands)- 29 min drive Alexandria Bay(Thousand Island Boat Tour)- 40 min drive 1000 Islands Bridge to Canada (passport needed)- 46 min drive White Caps Winery, Chaumont, NY-15 min drive Please reference our guidebook for restaurants and nearby attractions. Other things to note The steps leading into the water can be slick. So water shoes are recommended, as well as entering slowly.
