Description

All linen provided, WiFi and recently updated kitchen makes Barry’s house a perfect hideaway. The house is nestled within a quiet street in the suburb of Goolwa Beach. It’s just a short drive to the shops and a 10minute walk to the Trevalen beach access which allows dogs off lead to Middleton beach all year round. The space This house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas and a back and front balcony. The downstairs bedroom is large with a king sized bed, wardrobe and desk. There is an electric heater downstairs that can be plugged in if you need and a pedestal fan. The downstairs area tends to stay cool in summer so we never added aircon. The downstairs living area has a couple of armchairs and a table for games or craft. The downstairs also has a laundry with washing machine and a small toilet/shower. There is also an extra fridge downstairs which comes in handy for drinks or extra food storage. Upstairs has a larger bathroom, circa 1984. It may not be pretty but it has everything you need :-) The newly renovated kitchen/living area is the real star of the show. The kitchen is full of utensils, crockery and cooking/baking apparatus and has a good quality oven. There is a dual fridge freezer and a small pantry with assorted items guests are welcome to use. The living area is comfortable with a large couch and dining chairs for the island bench. The upstairs area has a split system aircon which cools the space in summer. It can get quite hot upstairs and if you close the kitchen door and open the bedroom doors it will cool down the space nicely. There are also a few small fans in the bedrooms. The upstairs split system also makes it cozy in wintertime so you can snuggle up on the couch. The back balcony is large and there is a large folding table and six outdoor chairs provided. There is an electric grill plate in the kitchen which can be plugged in to the power on the back balcony for a BBQ. The front balcony has a small table and chairs for relaxing. The property is pet friendly with a fully fenced back yard. This house has been my family holiday home for 30+ years so you will no doubt find some quirky things here. It may not be fancy but it should be clean, quiet, homely and have comfy beds. Guest access There is an upstairs storage pantry which is locked but otherwise guests have full access to the house. There are two locked sheds on the property which guests will not have access to. Other things to note The stairs may be an issue for young children, bad knees, small dogs or big dogs with bad knees. The taps in the bathrooms are separate, not mixer, so young children should be supervised when using them as the water can be quite hot. There is a large dog-door in the downstairs screen door, some little dogs or old dogs may struggle with it. The laminate floors can be slippery for some dogs - if they are known to slip and slide they may need to bring their grippy socks!
