Other things to note Getting to the apartment is easy; whether you come by car, train or plane. I recommend all guests to go to the center of Bologna by train, then head to Via Indipendenza where you will find many shops and do some shopping, at the end of this you will arrive at Piazza Maggiore, the Neptune, the Church of San Petronio etc. To reach the Dolce Borgo apartment by train, just take the train to Porretta or Vignola (whether you take one train or the other) and get off at the first station stop which is Borgo Panigale. The beauty of "Dolce Borgo" is that it allows guests to travel to other cities through the excellent train connection that leads to Bologna Centrale and to take high-speed trains (such as Italo or Frecciarossa). Through these you can go to Florence (40 minutes by train), Venice (1 hour and 34 minutes by train), Milan (1 hour by train). The train from Borgo Panigale station to Bologna Centrale (takes about 5 minutes). Thanks to the excellent highway connection, from Dolce Borgo you can head to Lake Garda, near Sirmione (1 hour and 41 minutes by highway) without traffic, Peschiera del Garda (1 hour and 37 minutes by highway) without traffic.
