Oldenswort is a family small village with an intact infrastructure. You can walk to a bakery, a butcher shop, and a small grocery store. The town of Tönning is nearby. Here, you will find the Multimar Wattforum (a large aquarium), the historic harbor with its Packhaus warehouse and boat trips to the seal banks, and many small cafes and restaurants. You can reach the wide sandy beaches of St. Peter-Ording in a short time (about 25 minutes by car). Husum, Friedrichstadt, Flensburg, and the Danish border are also easily accessible. You can enjoy the tranquility and have the harbor town of Tönning and good shopping options (almost) at your doorstep. If the weather is not so good, a visit to the dune spa is worthwhile.
