The Donkey Den Guest House is an beachfront eclectic, one-of-a-kind stay on Ecuador’s coast. Known for its warmth and community spirit, the Donkey Den fosters 3 dogs and several cats in a country with few services for them. Relax in comfy rooms, meet several of the friendly local expats. A stay here is both a vacation and a chance to be part of something meaningful. The space From the large bathroom and its oversized shower to the fully equipped kitchen boasting a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, and water dispenser with all the kitchenware you will need, this is no ordinary studio. You will get a great night’s rest in the comfortable king-size bed. During the day you can lounge in the spacious sitting area while being entertained by the large flat-screen television filled with movie options. Or you can enjoy the ocean as you sit on the large and spacious balcony with multiple sitting areas. Stay cool and comfortable inside with the multiple ceiling fans or the air conditioner while appreciating the gorgeous artwork by local artists that adorn the walls. The large wardrobe and pantry provide you with plenty of space to unpack and relax while you enjoy your stay. Guest access Guest have free run of all outside areas. In the morning, they are welcome to join a few of the ex-pats for our morning coffee clutch. We supply local organic coffee every morning. Our weekly Friday dinner at Donkey Den is fun as is the Wednesday night, Expat and friends dinner at different restaurants that all are invited to join in. Other things to note Your encouraged to meet and engage in social activities however consideration for others is very important (quiet after 9pm) Our on-site pets are loved and used to lots of attention. The dogs are inside evenings and outside about 7am. Cats are on site outside.
