Over-looking the estuary with panoramic views towards the beaches, direct access to the water, self-contained & managed apartment with allocated parking, running line boat mooring and private balcony. All 12 apartments are uniquely styled, offering superior comfort and unrivalled access to everything the gorgeous town of Salcombe has to offer. The 5 minute walk offers convenience whilst providing enough distance for tranquility and a peaceful night's sleep away from the bustle of the pubs. The space The apartment has two bedrooms. Either can be set out with a large double or two singles. There is a good quality sofa bed in the living room - standard double size. On request (and subject to availability and a hire charge from the building managers) we can provide a separate 'put-up' bed, the type that hotels often provide for children. It is comfortable for up to teenage. We have three kids and have found that a good arrangement is to set the larger bedroom as a twin with the put-up bed as extra and then the second bedroom as our double. Maximum occupancy is six but as you can see, there are many possible ways to make that work. The rooms will be set out for you before arrival. High chairs and cots are also available for a small hire charge. These need to be booked in advance. Sorry, no pets are allowed in the building nor BBQs including the gardens. Guests are expected to be considerate to other occupants. Bathrooms. Ensuite has bath with shower over, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Second (family) bathroom has large walk-in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. The shower mixers are electric so temperature adjustment is easy and pressure good. The living room is a large, open plan space containing dining table with six chairs, sofa and two matching easy chairs. The kitchen is off the living room and is well equiped with ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, kettle, toaster and refrigerator with small freezer compartment. There is a large, full-sized fridge freezer in the separate storage room off the hallway. Outside space. Two private balconies with perhaps the very best views in Salcombe, benefitting from being directly above the water's edge. Main balcony is accessed via full-height sliding doors from Living Room. Bedroom 1 has it's own private balcony - a haven to escape to! The apartments enjoy a communal lawned garden at ground floor level (lift to lowest floor or outside pathways) from which the waterside and bustle of the estuary can be enjoyed. Access to the water is gated but we recommend that young ones are supervised here at all times. Boat owners are well catered for. With steps from the garden directly to the water (dries at low water and circa 2m depth at high tide) there is also a simple running line for tenders and small craft up to 16 feet in length. Moorings for larger craft are available from the adjacent Salcombe Harbour Hotel but these must be booked in advance and paid for at the hotel. The moorings are tidal, drying for up to 2 hours on either side of low water. Larger craft moorings are available from local boatyards and Salcombe Harbour Office. There are a plethora of boat-related services and yards nearby. Items like paddle boards can normally be left safely in the garden area. Car parking for one car is available on the rooftop car park, accessible by the building's lift. It is included with apartment bookings free of charge. There is space for one car (no trailers) only so please don't ask for more. There are two EV chargers. Bookable for an overnight charge and fee payable to Marine Quay management. There are also 2x Tesla destination chargers in the attached Hotel car park (not part of the apartments) and we have previously found the valet parking team to be helpful in arranging access to these. There is a large, lockable storeroom off the hallway. Ideal to keep wet gear, outdoor equipment, food items and luggage. A large fridge-freezer in here supplements those in the kitchen. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the entire apartment. Shared communal areas include the car park, lift, hallways and garden area. Arrival is between 4pm and 6pm on the Saturday wherein guests can collect their keys from the management office. Guests must vacate the apartment by 10am the following Saturday. Guests can arrange for supermarket food deliveries (Kingsbridge being the nearest major town) and are thoroughly recommended to avoid the local prices, but these must be booked well in advance. Please avoid the checking in times as the car park is usually congested at this time. Other things to note *** Please note that there is no cleaning charge but guests will be billed for their electricity use - debit or credit card details will be taken by the apartment management at the start of the stay and guests will be billed at the end of their stay. ***
