Private Room 4 Budget Travelers

**This is for low-income travelers** Consider the price & adjust your expectations ***NO ALCOHOL OR MARIJUANA ON THE PROPERTY*** (yes, really) Private room with comfy bed & desk. SHARED bathroom, kitchen, washing machine (no dryer). Good wi-fi, hot water, towels. Shared with 2 other guest rooms. THERE ARE MESSY AREAS YOU MUST WALK PAST. If clutter bothers you, don't stay here. THE NEIGHBORHOOD CAN BE NOISY. You may see police cars or people yelling late at night. STREET PARKING ONLY The space THIS IS AN OLD HOME and has not been renovated. It keeps the rain off your head, provides running water, and keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. That is all you should expect. It is in need of renovation and maintenance. Some people say it smells 'musty'. The walls are patchy. There are cracked tiles, stained countertops, chipped sinks, ceiling spots, etc. IT IS NOT BUG-PROOF. There is no toxic mold, and we clean the bathroom regularly, but it still LOOKS moldy even right after cleaning. Your room, the bathroom, and the kitchen are tidy and thoroughly cleaned before each visit. THE LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM ARE NOT GUEST AREAS AND THEY ARE MESSY. If walking past clutter is upsetting for you, do not stay here. Guest access Shared kitchen, bathroom, washing machine (and clothesline, NO DRYER). Note, no tv or living room area. We try to keep at least half of the kitchen table clear, so you can eat there if you wish, but many guests prefer to eat at the desk in your room. In addition to the Wifi, an ethernet cable is available by request - if you would like one just let me know! During your stay I do not currently live on-site, but I am available by messenger, and have a property manager nearby who can come if needed. There are also long-term guests who are happy to help out with how to find things, etc. Other things to note This is an old house in a hot climate: you WILL see some bugs from time to time, especially in summer & fall. We usually do not remove spiders (since they eat the other bugs), but if you are afraid of spiders, let me know and we'll do a sweep before you arrive.
