"Beside the still waters"

Scenic, private- amazing nature scenery, just minutes from downtown West Jefferson. 3BR/3BA log home, in the West Jefferson Mts. 3 levels of living space. Listen to the rushing creek from the large covered porches, with plenty of seating. 3 TVs, including 1 w/ Dish, 2 DVD players, Roku/ streamers, video game machine, hardwood floors. Granite counters, open kitchen, vaulted ceilings, heated tile floors, gas stove fireplace (downstairs). Outdoor fire pit, acreage to explore. The space The main level is well designed with a spacious kitchen and island, seating area, bedroom and full bath. The porch wraps two sides of the cabin, with rocking chairs, and outdoor bed, gas grill, dining table, all overlooking the firepit and babbling creek. You'll find a luxurious, king-sized, mountain-themed bed on this level.. Downstairs is filled with a spacious family room, laundry room, and closet, along with another king-sized bedroom with accompanying full bath, and the warming glow of a gas stove that serves as a secondary heating source (along with the house-wide heat pump). Upstairs is a comfortable queen-sized bedroom with accompanying bathroom. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin, the breezy covered porch, the firepit, and the area down to the creek. In addition, guests are encouraged to explore the grounds- hike the scenic road, and explore the woods and grassy, hilly backyard, down to the rushing creek. You're bound to see some wildlife! But the only game you can catch are the fish in the creek, or down at the nearby, Ashe Lake, which you have access to as a guest. You can even bring your boat to launch into Ashe Lake or the nearby New River! Other things to note Our family- wife Sybil, husband Tony, and son Caleb- have owned and welcomed guests to our houses in the NC mountains, and at Holden Beach, for the past 20 years. The house is within the Ashe Lake community. You have full access to the lake- you can even bring your non-motor boat to enjoy! You can fish in the creek on our property, or at the lake. Enjoy the fire pit just beyond the back deck. You may wish to bring firewood- cannot promise you'll find firewood on site. You'll love that the large, Weber grill is hooked up to the cabin's large propane tank. Easy to ignite, and no worries about bringing charcoal or running out of gas! (Be sure to turn it off after using and cleaning- thanks!) We've added a corn hole set and horseshoes outside, and you'll find lots of seating around the firepit. Please understand that the responsible renter must be at least 25 years old. This is a family cabin getaway- no partying. Please understand that outside cameras are on for your safety. No cameras inside, and no cameras at the hot tub.
