This renovated, spacious, centrally located, second-floor walk-up apartment blends old and new. It offers guests easy access to Dansville's shops and restaurants, including the MacFadden Coffee Company, one flight down. Sleeps four to five people (one queen and two full-sized beds). The space Our second-floor apartment features two spacious bedrooms, a large living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a convenient alcove workspace. The apartment is located in historic downtown Dansville. Downtown locations and Historic buildings are charming, but imperfect. Please review our property before booking to ensure our apartment is the right fit for your stay and comfort level. 1. The apartments on Main Street are situated above the local businesses, which means they're accessible via stairs. The stairway to our apartment includes a handrail, but it may pose a challenge for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. There are a total of 20 steps. The stairwell is a standard width, but the climb may be too steep for some guests or small children. 2. Our apartment is not listed as family-focused. Guests with small children should consider: Steep stairs to enter the apartment, very low windows, high beds, and a shower only. The apartment is above a local business. Children should be discouraged from running in the apartment during business hours. As parents ourselves, we understand how small things can make a stay more convenient with little ones. 3. The front bedroom faces Main Street. Downtown Dansville offers a blend of dining, entertainment, and community activity, with street noises typically quieting around 9 PM. However, it's important to note that guests may still hear local traffic during the later hours, which could potentially disturb those who prefer quieter accommodations. 4. Window air conditioning units in the living room and bedrooms. The apartment does not have central air-conditioning. 5. Central heat. The apartment is very warm and cozy during the colder months. Guest access Guests access the apartment from the front of the building on Main Street. The door is marked “Apt. 209 / Apt. 213.” Walk up one flight to the green door labeled “201.” Entry is through this door only. Guests will receive the keypad code 24 hours prior to the start of the reservation. Guests can park for free on Main Street during the day. Evening and longer-term free parking is available in the municipal lot behind the bank across the street. Other things to note *While we hope guests will relax and enjoy the space, we respectfully ask that they do not host parties in the apartment. *We want our guests to be comfortable during their stay, but we respectfully ask that they place items in their original place before they leave. Kindly avoid rearranging the furniture. If you do move anything, ensure it is returned to its original position upon check-out. *Please note that the rear bedroom exit door is for emergency egress only. The light switch for the rear bedroom is behind the sliding interior bedroom door. *The front bedroom faces Main Street. The back bedroom faces a parking lot. *Air conditioning window units in the living room and bedrooms during the warmer months. Please turn off when you check out. *Central heating during the colder months. Please lower the heat to 65 when you check out. *The apartment is up one flight of stairs (20 steps). The stairs have a handrail but may present a challenge for anyone who experiences difficulty climbing stairs.
