Chander Hill Cottage is a stylish 3-bedroom barn conversion nestled above the village of Holymoorside, on the edge of the Peak District. This cosy cottage is a perfect base for exploring the countryside, with numerous walks from the door and two pubs just a mile away in the village. Relax in our hot tub with stunning views or warm up by the wood burning stove after a winter walk. The enclosed cottage garden has a patio where you can enjoy a BBQ in the summer. Dogs welcome! The space Chander Hill Cottage is a recently renovated Grade II listed barn conversion which forms part of a farm dating back to the 1500s. The cottage sleeps 6 very comfortably in three bedrooms : one kingsize, one double and one super kingsize bed (the latter can be converted to 2 single beds, if required). There is a desk and office chair in bedroom 1 and the house is equipped with broadband/WiFi so you can combine your stay with working if required. Bedding and towels are provided. Bedding is 400 thread count Egyptian cotton. There are also dressing gowns provided for guests in each bedroom. Bedroom 1 : Two large windows with a view over fields. King size bed. Desk with workspace overlooking fields. Ensuite bathroom with large shower, antique French washstand, heated towel rail, underfloor heating. Bedroom 2 : One large window with a view over fields. Double bed. Ensuite shower room with view over fields. Large shower area, heated towel rail, underfloor heating. Bedroom 3 : Window with view over fields. King size bed (can be converted to 2 single beds, please advise when booking). Separate family bathroom with a scroll top freestanding bath and shower. Equipped with antique French washstand, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with a breakfast bar and a dining table seating eight people. We provide everything you need to make meals at home (dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, micro-wave and conventional oven). We will leave you the basics for cooking - oil, salt and pepper, a range of spices. Your welcome pack will also include milk in the fridge. The cosy living area with exposed beams has a log burning stove to relax by on winter evenings (logs and kindling provided) and smart TV. There is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes horse. Cot and highchair are available on request. Outside the cottage is a private, fully enclosed garden with a stone terrace with patio furniture and a small grass area where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views over the countryside towards Chesterfield. In the summer there is a BBQ for you to enjoy outdoor cooking. There is a hot tub on the property for your sole use during your stay - plastic glasses are available should you want to enjoy a drink in the tub as the sun goes down. Dressing gowns are provided for you to keep warm when you get out. Adjacent to the hot tub there is a purpose-built changing room for guests. You will find towels for use after the hot tub in the changing room. You are welcome to use the large grass area outside the cottage garden and the wooden decking area near the hot tub, which has a spectacular views over Chesterfield. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome - you may see our three retired greyhounds who go out in a separate courtyard nearby. Guest access This is a fully independent 3-bedroom cottage with its own front door and private fully enclosed garden. The hot tub is situated outside the enclosed garden. Guests are welcome to use the large grass area outside the cottage garden and the wooden decking area near the hot tub. The main vehicle entrance to the property is shared with the owners who live nearby in a house to the rear of the cottage. The cottage has dedicated parking spaces for three vehicles. Other things to note Self check-in with a key safe which can be found at the top of the cottage steps on the right-hand side wall. We will send you the code a few days before your arrival. Please return the key to the safe whenever you leave the cottage and when you depart. The hot tub is pre-set to 40 degrees and will be heated to this temperature when you arrive and throughout your stay. PLEASE NOTE: whilst this is a rural area which is generally very peaceful, you may hear barking from our neighbours’ dogs, which guests may find disturbing at certain times of the day.
