You’re just a few miles from the Jurassic Coast, and Lyme Regis can be reached in 9 miles. This pretty seaside resort with beautiful beaches, a picturesque harbour and the renowned Cobb (its harbour wall) is well worth exploring. You could even join an organised fossil-hunting tour. Drive to Colyton, 8.5 miles, and hop on the Seaton Tramway, where a narrow-gauge, heritage tram will transport you to the coastal resort of Seaton through East Devon’s glorious Axe Valley, or hike through the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right on your doorstep.
