At the edge of the extensive grounds, a gate gives guests direct access to a network of footpaths, making this a delightful location for those who just want to escape the stresses of daily life and enjoy the fresh air. The space For those who want to explore further afield, there is plenty to see and do in the local area, including the town of Sherborne just five miles north of the property, which boasts not one but two castles, as well as an historic Abbey whose history dates back to 705 AD. For many, one of the main draws of Dorset is the county’s spectacular coast, and some of the most beautiful ones including those at Lulworth Cove and West Bay lie within thirty miles of the property. On arrival at this single-storey, wheelchair-friendly barn conversion property, guests will find the stunning open-plan living area which comprises a lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and plenty of space to relax and unwind. The lounge area has been styled so as to create a cosy retreat within this large room, with inviting sofas, a warming wood burner, Smart TV, and DVD. The dining table is set off to one side, whilst the kitchen area occupies the rear of the room and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The two bedrooms both benefit from en-suite facilities, the first of which is a delightful double room with an en-suite bathroom offering shower-over-bath and WC. The second bedroom is twin room which has an en-suite wet room with a shower and WC. Outside, there is a private, unenclosed patio immediately outside the property with an adjacent lawn area, where guests will find garden furniture perfect for enjoying alfresco drinks. Guests also have access to the shared grounds, which include a children’s play area and lakeside walks. Of course, guests will want to make full use of the beautiful indoor heated pool, which is from 8.30am -8pm, although guests should be aware that this may sometimes be booked by a private party.
