Cuddle and feed our pet rescued lambs, donkeys, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, Pygmy goats, tortoises, sheep, bunnies, guinea pigs (free of charge!) Alfie’s room has a lovely double bed for two 2 people. A wardrobe, dressing table/desk with views of our private Animal Sanctuary and extensive gardens. It is within Inglenook House, our shared family farm house in the quiet rural farming village of Huby, 6 miles from York. First floor level, 14 steps up Shared bathrooms. Plus a communal games and family room which boasts a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, freezer, sink, toaster, kettle, free refreshments and snack preparation area. And don’t forget the pool table, retro arcade games and juke box! Also dining room with quality English Oak furniture. Our location is ideal, (don’t pay silly York Hotel prices, an Uber to the city is just approx £18 but we offer free car parking too) Also public transport bus route to York City just £3 fare and 22 minute journey. Free of charge animal petting on our rescue farm under supervision This room (Alfie’s) is Not suitable for infants/babies as we have no cot/crib in this room. Discounts offered for single travellers/workers/long term. We are here to guide and support you whilst on your journey. Guest access If arriving by car, we meet guests at the front door, guide them to their reserved car parking space which is free, and welcome to their room. We MAY be able offer flexible check in times (ie later, please check with Tracy) check in policy is 3-6pm. Please arrange with Tracy any alternative check in times. Yes we get many guests who stay with us who use public transport. It is easy! We are 6 miles away and a 22 minute pleasant bus journey through lovely farming villages to York City. Occasionally our guests take Uber which is around £18 The bus fare is £3, the number 40 (Transdev) leaves our village at around quarter past every hour (2 hourly on Sundays) The bus stop is 7 minutes walk away from our property. Guests will have access to refreshments and a fridge in the galleried hall by their room. Tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, hot chocolate etc. There is also a family games room with pool table, juke box, Atari games, kitchenette, fridge freezer, microwave, library, a shared dining hall. Best of all you get free entry to our extensive gardens and the private Animal Sanctuary paddocks to meet our rescued animals ! During your stay Socialise around our fire pits and BBQ areas with chimoneers, hammocks, bistro dining sets etc in the paddocks. We also have a camp site, a Jacuzzi Cottage and Glamping Lodge in the animal Sanctuary, please enquire if you would prefer a fully self catering option. Tracy and Gary along with super friendly dog Panda are live in hosts. We host you within our family shared house and have many international travellers, students, families, business people. Happy to help you to plan your route and give local restaurant recommendations etc. We do get busy during York city festival and Market event times, etc, so book quick for your York holiday bargain! Other things to note Come and meet the rescued Animals on our sanctuary rescue farm! Please let us know of any disabilities/special needs prior to booking /arrival to ensure we may be able to make adequate/reasonable adjustments/interventions to ensure you enjoy your holiday. We are a working farm environment No infants in this room, sorry We also offer self catering accomodations, a Jacuzzi Cottage a Glamping Lodge and camping site. We offer a parking space for one car, the bus stop into central City of York is 5 minutes walk away, it is just £3 fare and a 22 minute ride into the city We have other rooms available in the house to suit larger party sizes (please enquire) Our local market town is Easingwold just 4 miles away. Here you will find an abundance of cafes/pubs/hotels/takeaways for your breakfast, lunch or evening meal. A one hour drive to the beach, and half an hours drive away from lovely market towns such as Harrogate, Helmsley, Knaresborough etc. Also local attractions, stately homes, The North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, The Wolds etc. We are on the popular London - York - Edinburgh route.
