Experience gorgeous views out the wall of windows in the great room while you get away from it all in the gentle rolling hills of Mohican area Ohio. The charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom rural home has local activities in all seasons. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT A VENUE FOR CEREMONIES OR PARTIES. We are best suited for a small family, a couples retreat or a nature retreat. The space The cottage includes three charming bedrooms, two bathrooms, country style kitchen, and a large open living room to view the wildlife, sunsets, and Mohican valley. The living room flows into the dining room with a dining table with seating for six. The kitchen includes all you need to make a simple meal or to prepare an elaborate dinner. Also in the kitchen is a small table with 4 stools for kids or snacks. Outside includes two deck areas with a porch swing, additional seating, Weber gas BBQ grill. On an 800 sq. ft. stone patio is an outdoor fire pit with comfortable seating for six and additionally a picnic table that seats six guests. Near the fire pit is an authentic ITALIAN WOOD-FIRED PIZZA OVEN. along side of a stone cooking grill. We include wood, all equipment needed, and step by step instructions on how to safely use the pizza oven. Near the cottage is a free standing furnished TREE HOUSE/ Observatory within sight of the cottage with great views to watch nature, birds There are cots inside the window seat of the tree house. There are sleeping bags located in the primary bedroom closet to camp out in appropriate weather. Kids love it! Also in sight of the cottage is a small fishing pond with a dock and a picnic table and additional seating. Fishing poles are provided if you want to try your luck with fishing. This home includes all the amenities that you need to enjoy your vacation. Grounds: Stretch your legs throughout the 24 acre park setting and enjoy plenty of wild flowers, wild berries and quiet spaces. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the pier as you try your luck with fishing, or enjoy the start of your day on the deck or in the living room with floor to ceiling windows. The grounds include plenty of short walking trails, fishing pond and picnic table with flowers and wild berries in season. If you want to take a longer walk/run there are multiple trails leading around the picturesque countryside and Mohican State Park is just minutes away. The property is adjacent to Mohican Forest. The home is accessed by a gravel driveway. We suggest that you have 4-wheel drive for snowy weather on the maintained gravel driveway. The home is situated in a location which provides countless ways to spend your days. Enjoy all water sports and boat rentals on Pleasant Hill Lake that is minutes away. Canoeing, kayaking, rafting, 3 top notch 18 hole mini golf courses, go-carts and a new Aerial Adventure Course are located at Mohican Adventures and Fun Center 10 minutes from the cottage in Loudonville.Nearby is Mohican State Park with extensive hiking trails, waterfalls and amazing scenery. Malabar State Park is nearby, as well as the infamous Mowery Cider Mill which makes apple butter and cider on site and is fun for kids and adults. Amish country in Berlin is about an hour's drive from the cottage on country roads. Berlin makes a wonderful day trip to enjoy shopping and to experience wonderful Amish cooking. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house including a separate laundry room conveniently stocked with all laundry and cleaning supplies as needed. There is access for multiple parking in the driveway. The garage is locked for supply storage. Other things to note Whisper quiet Mitsubishi Zoned Heating and Cooling system in all bedrooms and throughout cottage so that everyone has a comfortable stay. There is a Weber gas BBQ grill. Luxury Premium Euro Pillow- Top mattresses in all three bedrooms. Ceiling Fans and room darkening window coverings in all bedrooms. An authentic Italian Wood- Fired Pizza Oven and a Stone Grill for making food with wood fire or charcoal on a 800 square foot paved stone patio is located in front of the deck. There is a fire pit on the stone patio that owners provide wood for with six comfortable Adirondack chairs surrounding it. There is a picnic table on the patio along with a covered pavilion with seating. There are multiple area for outdoor dining. There is a free standing furnished tree House/ observatory with great views to watch nature and wildlife. There is a Flat Screen Smart TV in the great room with DVDs. There is a selection of popular DVDs in the great room TV cabinet and there is a wide variety of books, magazines, cook books, and games suitable for all ages. There is a new stereo/CD player which includes an iPod dock. A large variety of CDs are available for our guests to use.
