Quirky loft studio apartment in the centre of Oslo
Description
(NB: I have written in english, so if the language seems weird it might be the auto-translation to your language) The space Pros: - Complete, with private bedroom, bathroom and kitchen - In the city centre - 10 minute walk to grünerløkka, st. hans haugen, Youngstorget, Jernbanetorget and Grønland - Public transport super close and available - Stores and shops all over the place - Bars and restaurants everywhere Cons: - Quite small - This part of town is a little "rough". I elaborate more on this further down. To help finance my studies, I figured I'd put my apartment up for rent whenever I'm not home, which is quite often. This is not because i lack love for the place, quite the contrary - its my dream home. The tall ceiling, the big window and the loft gives me a feeling of freedom I can't get anywhere else. My precious studio apartment is right between Storgata and Torggata, with all the cool places Oslo has to offer in a ten minute walking distance radius. It's hard to get more central! What's the point in staying somewhere with lots of room, when you're just going to sleep there anyway before embarking on your adventures in Oslo? If you don't mind the 17 square meters size, can tolerate walking past some "ghosts", and you care most about getting around easily, then this is the place for you! There is two rooms - the bathroom, and... Well, the everything else room. Despite the humble size, it should have everything you need! - A queen size bed for two - Kitchen, ready to cook in (the fridge is small but there IS a fridge!) - Bathroom, including washing machine and dryer in one - A desk, bookshelf, boardgames and a TV, which has netflix, hbo and disney+ subscruption :-) The inside of the block was completely renovated in 2015/2016, including everything inside the apartments. So everything is modern. Guest access The whole floor level is free for your disposal, but the loft is off limits unless you have my permission. This is because I am concerned for your safety, as climbing up can be dangerous. Other things to note You're probably thinking it's too good to be true, and it is. There's one big downside, and there's no easy way to put it. It's a perfectly harmless problem, and you don't need to worry. I have never experienced anything uncomfortable in the area i live. But you should know, sometimes drug addicts will hang out outside the building next to my apartment block. They have never bothered me, and they are not dangerous. But you should be aware, because it can sometimes look a little bit depressing. They are not violent, and the area doesn't have issues with gangs, robbery, or anything dangerous like that. Nonetheless it's a ittle bit uncomfortable sometimes to see them, even if they're minding their own business. Just had to warn you. They don't cover a large area, fortunately. As soon as you have walked anywhere for a minute, they're gone, and you have most likely arrived somewhere cool! Sometimes there can be noise at night from outside, but personally I love the ambient city centre sound. Drunken madmen shrieking the tonedeaf lyrics of out-dated pop? Or the bird songs of the concrete jungle? It's all about your mindset!
