The space The house has two bedrooms with a full bathroom each, a living and dining room for 6 people, a kitchen, a gas oven and a wood oven, a front patio to do yoga or simply to contemplate the landscape. Its design was in charge of architect Claudina sLópez, whose works have redefined the physiognomy of the majestic City of Oaxaca and have achieved international recognition. THE VILLAGE Pluma Hidalgo, Oaxaca, is a picturesque corner at 1500 meters above sea level, where the cold forest and the low deciduous forest meet. Founded around 1870, the population has been dedicated to coffee cultivation for more than a century, although today the crops have been diversified to maintain the local economy. Its streets and alleys give us unexpected and impressive views of the coast or the forest. Around Pluma there are still active coffee farms, where you can see everything related to the planting, harvesting and treatment of coffee. Some local producing families have achieved renown by obtaining first places in the Golden Cup competitions held annually at the national and international levels. ACTIVITIES Pluma Hidalgo is one of the best places nationwide for birdwatching. There are routes of varying degrees of difficulty for those who practice mountain biking or hiking. You can learn everything about coffee culture through tours of neighboring farms. Photography lovers will have ideal settings to capture trees, plants, flowers, mountains, birds and small mammals. And for those who simply need to disconnect from routine and technology, here you will find the ideal conditions for it. Guest access Casa Ébano is located fifty minutes from Huatulco International Airport; from there, access is easy by the federal highway that goes from Santa María Huatulco to Pluma Hidalgo, with an approximate route of 50 minutes. It can also be reached by the new Oaxaca-Puerto Escondido highway, in about 3.5 hours. Or by the traditional and magical route that starts from Oaxaca and passes through San José del Pacífico, with impressive landscapes; in this case the route can be 4 to 5 hours. From Casa Ébano you can access the bays of Huatulco in an average of one hour and Mazunte and nearby beaches in two hours. So you can start the trip early and return to sleep at the house, under the shelter of the mountains.  The best time of year to visit Casa Ébano is from October to February, for its radiant sunrises and star-filled nights. The rainy months are from June to September. Throughout the year, the fog can surprise us in the afternoon, like a fleeting visitor that overwhelms us with its beauty.
