The distance from the lively energy of the historic center allows guests to enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding countryside, enriched by the singing of birds and the scent of flowers; if lucky, you can see deer grazing under the house or magnificent pheasants. The house was a dependency that was part of a grand historic residence: Villa Borgherini, also known as Belvedere del Saracino or Villa Mercedes, a place rich in history, charm, and mystery. Many stories about the artists who inhabited it until the 19th century can be found on the internet, along with some of their paintings depicting our garden and the arch. In the 15th century, Villa Borgherini was expanded by the famous Florentine artist Baccio D'agnolo, who adorned it with the grand staircase and the arch. The staircase with its battlements and the large arch framed by the century-old wisteria is our entrance that never fails to amaze our guests when they open the door. The villa is a small, lively refuge, cozy and detailed, warmed by antique furniture, artworks, travel memories, art books, and much more.
