Il Kiostro Farmhouse with Pool

Il Kiostro is a historic 300 year old expertly converted Maltese farmhouse, retaining all its original features and charm.It houses 3 guest bedrooms all with an en-suite shower, a large hall with a sitting and dining area, a picturesque authentic mill room that serves as living quarters, a beautiful pool area with a lovely sun terrace and a section for 'al fresco' dining and an internal yard. Located in ZURRIEQ and within walking distance from the village square, one will find all kind of shops. The space Il Kiostro is over 300 years old. It boasts of authentic features in the building such as the 'Kileb', 'Xorok', Maltese flagstones, a mill room with several original arches, a 'Garigor' stairway, small niches and nooks, wooden beams and a birth room. History: Professor Stefano Zerafa, a Maltese academic of the 1800’s and the person who identified 'Widnet il-Bahar', now the Maltese national plant, as a species that is endemic to Malta, lived in this house. Guest access Main hall and dining area, the pool area and terrace, the mill room, the internal yard and 3 guest bedrooms when renting the full house. Other things to note Guests are required to bring their own home slippers, as we maintain a no-shoe policy indoors. A valid photo ID will also be required upon check-in. ECO contribution fee: €0.50 per person, per night. Air conditioning is available for an additional €10 per bedroom, per night. This fee is not included in the booking price.
