Each retreat space is completely private and separate from each other. Other things to note We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some of our favorite local amenities, restaurants, packing essentials, and things to do. Food & Drink - We provide a kitchenette with a fridge and freezer we also have a wood-fired pizza oven which is great for cooking stone-baked pizzas (most guests bring their own ready-made pizzas) We recommend Dunnes Stores, Supervalu & large Centra's for these services. Dinner - We are lucky to have one of the top restaurants around. - Callans Bar and Restaurant is just 10 mins drive away and has some of the best steak and seafood in Ireland. Booking is essential at the weekend so make sure to make the call. Ask for Megan and mention that you are staying at the River Fane Retreat. - Concra Wood Golf & Country Club looking over Louth Muckno Lake in Castleblaney. Beautiful food in a unique location just 15 mins Drive from the Retreat. Breakfast - - Raglan Road Tea Rooms in Inniskeen Village can't be missed. A beautiful family run business in a unique converted cottage. Definitely a must visit whilst in the Area. Make sure to mention that you are guests of the Meegan Family at the River Fane Retreat. Also great for lunch or a bite to eat before you check in. 3 min drive from the Retreat or a fresh 20 min walk. - Strandfield Cafe and Farmhouse is just 15 mins away also and just off junction 18 on the M1. Most of our guests stop by to get some artisan foods, nibbles, bread, etc for their stay at the retreat. A chic and very popular organic farmhouse that is an experience to visit. - Chinese Delivery to the retreat. Our Local Chinese in Louth Village (Shang Garden) delivers to the retreat (no delivery on Tuesdays) - PS delivery driver will come to the door of the retreat Chilli Panda Chinese In Carrickmacross also delivers to the retreats. - Convenience & Off License Oneills Shop (Concession Rd) is just 5 mins drive from the retreat, here you will find a great off-license and everyday grocery store - as Oneills is just across the border they accept GBP/EUR.
