This 4-story townhouse is ideal to host 1-2 families. 2nd floor has open floor plan w/ living/dining space and deck. 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms - one queen bed/master suite and one kids room w bunk double/single. 4th floor has one bedroom with queen bed and den w/ sleeper sofa, office, roof deck. All rooms have en suite baths. Walkable to Capitol Hill & Navy Yard restaurants, Nats and DC United, 3 metro lines, Yards Park, Smithsonians, US Capitol, & National Mall. Enjoy DC like a local. Other things to note Welcome to your own private townhome in the center of Capitol Hill and Navy Yard, two of the best neighborhoods of Washington DC! The neighborhood has so much to do you’ll never need to leave. A Whole Foods is two blocks away and four blocks south are more restaurants than you can count ranging from breweries to Michelin starred Mediterranean cuisine. The baseball and soccer stadiums are a few blocks east of there thru Yards Park. And five blocks west is Barracks Row, five blocks north to Pennsylvania Ave. It’s really central to it all! You will enter the home through the large front yard with plenty of street parking out front. The first floor has a foyer and space to keep your shoes and jackets. You’ll immediately walk up the dark hardwood stairs to floor two with its own balcony and large living and dining space. This open floor has a large Room and Board wrap around couch and Italian leather chair. Check out the large book collection or 100s of vinyl records on the turntable, or cozy up under some blankets for a movie night. The adjacent dining area has six seats with soft leather chairs, or belly up to the island on the additional four stools. The kitchen has a gas stovetop and electric oven with all the cookware you’ll need. A keurig and pods are always stocked and there is a teapot as well. The powder room is large and meticulously clean. Up one floor and you’ll get to the kids room w en suite bath. Bunk beds with a full on bottom and single in top are so fun in the pink rainbow room with plenty of toys for the kids. Just down the hall is the master with Room and Board bedroom set on a super comfortable queen bed. The master bath has his and her sinks and a full body shower with three body jets and two shower heads. Up to the top floor for your large roof deck with views of the Capitol and seating for four. The large office in the loft has a couch that folds into a full size bed. The antique barn door (pardon its natural squeaks) has another queen bed and in suite bath with tub and shower. We are the original builders and owners on the home and have lived in it for nearly 15 years. We still live locally and hope you love our home as much as we have! Note: Our home is best suited for a maximum of four adults and four children. We want our guests to be comfortable which we believe includes four adults between the two queen bedrooms and the full sized futon, and up to four children in the kids bunk bed room. The home does not come with parking. We recommend parking in a nearby garage like Whole Foods or use apps like Park Mobile. Most guests do best without a car using ride share apps or e-bikes to get around. If you require parking and we are able to complete the process to obtain a temporary permit, we charge $200 and require your car make, model, and license plate number at least five days in advance of your stay. You will need to print the pass and we do not have one available at the home. We reserve the right to refuse a permit based on our availability but will do our best to get you one if necessary.
