The space Welcome to The Crystal Cottage, your private desert getaway on a peaceful 5-acre property in beautiful Morongo Valley. This cozy retreat is a completely private three-room guest suite that is attached to the main house, but designed to be fully separate with its own entrance, a sound-insulated wall, and a securely fenced private yard. You’ll have solitude, serenity, and space to yourself — with your host nearby only if you need anything. Inside the Crystal Cottage, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed layout featuring: • A comfortable bedroom with a queen-size memory foam bed and soft linens • A living area with a fold-flat sofa for an additional guest • A well-equipped kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, utensils, coffee + tea • A stylish bathroom with a large walk-in shower and high-quality bath essentials • Handmade crystal décor throughout, created by your host in the on-site studio Large sliding doors let in natural light and open directly to your private outdoor space — ideal for enjoying fresh air, sunshine, or the star-filled desert sky. Step outside to enjoy: • A spacious fenced yard for lounging or letting your pet explore • A fire pit for cozy nights under the stars (seasonal fire safety rules may apply) • Expansive mountain and desert views • Opportunities for birdwatching, stargazing & morning coffee in nature Guests are welcome to request permission to explore additional garden and patio areas on the property, or to visit the on-site art studio. If you’re curious about crystal art or handmade décor, your host will gladly show you what he’s currently working on — if available. The Crystal Cottage is perfectly positioned for adventure, relaxation, or both. We’re just a short drive to: • Joshua Tree National Park — stunning hikes & iconic desert landscapes • Pioneertown & Pappy & Harriet’s — live music & western charm • Palm Springs — shopping, dining, spas & mid-century gems • Nearby local coffee shops, scenic trails & desert hides Whether you’re here to explore the high desert, unplug and unwind, celebrate a milestone, or inspire your creativity — this sweet and soothing retreat offers a space to recharge. 🐾 Pet-Friendly Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome. Pet fee helps cover additional cleaning so every guest enjoys a fresh, comfortable stay. The private yard is securely fenced and great for pets to relax safely. Please include your pet/s when making your reservation. If you’re dreaming of desert quiet, clear night skies, and a charming home base filled with the warm energy of crystals — the Crystal Cottage awaits to make your stay peaceful, memorable, and uniquely restorative. 🌵✨ Guest access You’ll have exclusive access to the Crystal Cottage and your large private fenced yard, which includes: • Outdoor dining table • Fire pit (firewood available for purchase from host or bring your own) • BBQ grill • Beautiful desert and mountain views No one else will access your yard or enter your suite during your stay. The remainder of the 5-acre property contains my private residence, personal yard, natural open land, and my on-site art studio. While these areas are not included in regular guest access, you are welcome to ask for permission if you’d like to explore more of the property or visit the art studio — I’m happy to accommodate when available. Enjoy your very own peaceful corner of the desert! Other things to note The Crystal Cottage is attached to the main house, but completely private, with a sound-insulated wall and a heavy security door (bolted shut on both sides) separating the spaces to keep both secure and private at all times. You may hear occasional normal living sounds from next door — it’s just your host nearby. If anything affects your comfort, please reach out and I’ll be happy to help. Additional Guests: An additional guest can be accommodated on a fold-flat couch in the living area. Please note this is a more casual sleeping arrangement and may not offer the same level of comfort as a true bed. Please be sure to list the additional guest in your reservation so we may provide bed linens for them. Thank you. 🚗 Road Note: The last 0.3 miles (about 3 blocks) to the property are graded dirt roads. Standard clearance vehicles have no problem accessing the cottage via the route specified. Please pay close attention to the directions that are sent a few days before your arrival, as GPS can sometimes be unreliable in the final stretch.
