Plus, easy access to the vibrant H Street Corridor, Union Market, and the Navy Yard, you can enjoy nightlife, dining, sporting events, grocery stores, and more. The space The property has ample room to host the entire family. In the first and largest room, you have a master bedroom with an ensuite that has a king size bed, large closet, and ample light with sky lighting. The next room has a queen size bed on a plush rug to warm your feet. Adjacent to your bed are nightstands with charging stations along with lamps that can charge your phones as you rest. The smallest room has a twin size bed with a reading lamp above-head to wind down with your favorite book. Guests love the artwork of our favorite furry family friend, Watson. On this same floor you'll find a washer and dryer across from the shared bathroom. As we move to the main floor, you'll find exposed brick for the historic appeal of Capitol Hill. The living room has a 55" smart tv for you to connect to your favorite apps with plenty of seating for the family and guests. The dining room inspired by a trip to the south of France can host a dinner for 8 (we've definitely done more). Dine listening to your favorite vintage tunes on the gramophone record player. The kitchen is a chef's dream with ample space to whip up your favorite meals. Large oven, rice maker, microwave, blender, ample counter space, and hopefully all the tools you'll need to feed everyone at the table. As we make our way to our back deck you'll be greeted with a pergola to give the feel of an entirely new sitting room to enjoy the nicer days of the year. Overhead lightning will set the mood regardless of the event as it is one our favorite places to enjoy company, unplugged with a glass of wine. If you're looking for a more social experience, sit on the front porch and people watch as pedestrians pass by. Dog walkers, parents with strollers, joggers, and more so don't be shy and say hi! The neighbors will greet you as they are very friendly, welcoming, and some of our best friends. Basement Unit The basement is a separate unit with tenants. The access door to the basement unit will be locked from both sides and only we will have the keys. So if you see someone downstairs out back, they are your neighbors. Parking There is one off-street parking spot available that is shared with the basement unit. This will be assigned on a first come first serve basis so please make the request if you need to use it. There is also ample street parking that works very well for us! We use it all the time and have no problems. If you are staying during the week, please let us know that you'll be needing a parking pass for street parking as the city asks to fill out a form for submission for the pass ahead of time. NOTE: if items are needed to better the staying experience, please don't hesitate to put in a request whether it's putting in another bed for a guest or adding cooking supplies that aren't already provided, we hope to ensure you have the most comfortable stay when you're staying at your new digs. Guest access In this home you'll have access to the main and top floors. Outside the main floors are two outdoor seating areas. Other things to note PARKING - There is one off street parking spot shared with the basement unit that is available on a first come first serve basis.
