The Cottage by Lake Erie

Nestled above peaceful Lake Erie, this cozy cottage is the perfect place to rest and recharge after a long day of hiking, biking or exploring. Just minutes from beautiful Anacortes and surrounded by stunning lake and mountain views, this home is close to scenic Deception Pass Bridge, the San Juans, tulip fields, and less than 1.5 hours to Seattle. After a day exploring the area, relax and unwind outside by the fire on the spacious patio while watching eagles and red tail hawks soar by! The space The Cottage is separate from our main residence, and it is roomy, at 600sq. ft. Please be advised your private patio area is directly adjacent to our family’s property, and separated by a fence. Our property is 2.5 acres en total, but there is a fully fenced area around the cottage, as we have two very friendly dogs and active children who occasionally roam our side of the property. You will see wildlife if you watch and listen carefully for it, including doves, eagles, hawks, coyotes (on mountain), and rabbits. Since we are rural, on clear nights, the stargazing is amazing! This home is perfect for one or two couples, or a family of four. The single bedroom has a queen bed, with a queen sized air mattress in the front room. The fully furnished kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware, a coffee station, some spices and condiments. Guest access **There is a separate gravel driveway and dedicated entrance into the fenced cottage yard. The parking area is not directly adjacent to the cottage, so you will have a short walk down the path. ** This peaceful cottage shares a property with our family home, so someone is usually around and possibly even outdoors in the warmer months. While out enjoying the patio, you may hear everyday sounds coming from our main home up the hill (children, dogs, yard maintenance, etc) but overall you will have tranquil surroundings! We will do our very best to not disturb you during your stay. Our family truly hopes you enjoy the space and serenity this property provides!
