Welcome to Å! The space On the southwestern point of the Lofoten islands, lies the village Å, one of the oldest and best-preserved traditional fishing villages in Norway. This is a spacious and traditional cabin (“rorbu”), refurbished to a comfortable and contemporary standard (renovated in 2020). The spacious living room makes up the original fisherman’s cabin, with walls dating back to the 1800s. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances. It accommodates 7 adults in 4 bedrooms, one room with a double bed (160x200cm) and single beds in the rest. There is underfloor heating, except in the bedrooms, for some extra comfort on cold winter days. You have a spacious private balcony/terrace overlooking the sea. Here the views are beautiful all year round! The cabin is situated within walking distance to the main attractions, such as the Stockfish Museum and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Walking among these old houses and fishermen’s cabins, you get a sense of the life and hardship of the generations of fishermen that lived and worked here. Enjoy some regional specialties at Brygga Restaurant or some delicious cinnamon rolls at Bakeriet, the old bakery (only open during summer). Å is surrounded by stunning nature, with fjords, islands, and mountains - right at your doorstep. Leknes airport is 66 km away. Moskenes ferry dock is 5 km away.
