The Old Rope Works

The Old Rope Works is a spacious and unique space in the heart of Woburn Sands, a small market town outside Milton Keynes. As the name suggests, it was once a factory where rope was made and accommodation will suit families, two couples, four friends etc. The property is located just down from the high street, which has multiple places to eat and drink, two local supermarkets for supplies, all within a 5 minute stroll. Easy access from J13 M1 or the A5, Central Milton Keynes is 10 min drive The space The accommodation comprises of: - a generous kitchen diner with cooking facilities, - lounge with access to a private decking area, - 2 bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), - 2 bathrooms both with showers (one ensuite to the downstairs bedroom and the main bathroom upstairs) - and a hall where you can work from home if needed. There is also a washing machine, dishwasher, gas central heating, electric fan and free WIFI. All linen and towels are provided plus dishwasher tablets, washing powder, washing up liquid. Tea, coffee and sugar are available plus number of spices, oil, salt and pepper etc. We are close to a number of great attractions in the area such as: Woburn Golf Club - 2 miles Woburn Abbey and deer park - 2.5 miles Woburn Safari Park - 3 miles Paris House - 3.5 miles Bletchley Park - 4 miles Silverstone - 16 miles Milton Keynes Central train station is 5.5 miles away. Woburn Sands has its own railway station as well on the Bedford to Bletchley line. Luton Airport is 15 miles away. Guest access Access to The Old Rope Works is via the drive, through the gate and across the courtyard to the right hand side of the building facing you as you have the gate to your back. Access to the accommodation is down the grey slate path via a private front door. Other things to note Please be aware that although some of the accommodation is on the ground floor (one bedroom with ensuite, kitchen/diner, hallway and lounge) - as the building is on a slope there are small steps between each room as per photos. The bedrooms can be configured as either: 2 x super king size beds or 4 x single beds or 1 x super king size and 2 x singles. Please let us know in advance your preference. The accommodation may not be suitable for younger children as the 2 bedrooms are on different floors and not next to each other. There is also no bath only showers. Parking is available on the street outside of the property at no charge or there is parking for one car on the drive directly in front of the gate (see photos) - just be aware the gate opens towards you. Please note we live on a hill and the drive is sloped too.
