Caravan in the meadow
Caravan in the meadow
Description
Enjoy the lovely setting of this little caravan’s tranquil spot in nature. It is a wild area looking over to Bartinny nature reserve and a glimpse of Mounts Bay. The caravan is situated in the meadow, adjacent to our barn. It's a peaceful spot, well away from road noise, down a track, with lovely views. The hamlet is 2 miles from St Just and a short drive from Sennen, Penzance or St Ives. There is also a handy bus stop at the end of the track with buses to Penzance or St Just. The space The caravan has everything you need in it: kitchen area with gas cooker, hob and fridge with small freezer, toilet/shower, seating area, TV, and double bed. Ideally, it would suit a single person, couple, or a couple with a young child (the seating area can turn into an extra bed). There is also the possibility of pitching a small pup tent. This can be a lovely camping experience in a semi wild area. We do have a large awning available with advanced notice, which we can equip with an outside kitchen, dining area and bedroom with kingsize airbed. The extra awning space can be included by booking for 4 guests (even if there are fewer in your party) or making a message request. The awning is an additional cost. Guest access Parking is at the bottom of the meadow, in our drive, by the meadow entrance. You have use of the top half of the meadow. In dry conditions, it might be possible to drive up to the caravan... Please note that the hamlet is down a 3/4 mile bumpy single track, that needs to be driven slowly in 1st or 2nd gear. There are a few passing places and you might need to reverse into one if another vehicle is coming the other way. Other things to note We have no street lighting here so it is great for star gazing but you might want to bring a torch. The single track is 3/4 of a mile long and bumpy so should be driven at a very slow speed in first or second gear. We try to provide internet but it is not always consistent due to the outdated network here in Cornwall. We have two dogs: one, who is an old lurcher and very friendly, and one younger sheepdog, that is initially cautious and sometimes barks but is then very friendly and loves to play. The toilet cassette will need emptying into our sewage system every day or every other day, depending on how much you use it. The water tank also has to be filled up using a nearby hose. To see some more videos and info we have a fb page meadow stays.
