Nestled in the heart of nature, this property offers breathtaking panoramic mountain views that will leave you in awe. Enjoy the serenity of our infinity pool, perfect for a refreshing dip while soaking in the scenic surroundings. Our barbecue pit invites you to savor delicious meals outdoors, complemented by the fresh mountain air. The full kitchen is equipped with modern amenities, providing everything you need for culinary delights. Each bedroom boasts contemporary designs, and the modern bathrooms offer a touch of luxury. Hacienda Pura Vida comfortably sleeps 12 guests. Explore the expansive terrain surrounding the property or unwind on the terraces overlooking the spectacular mountain vistas. Hacienda Pura Vida features a water cistern and a power generator in case of an interruption in electrical service. IMPORTANT NOTE: WE WELCOME CHILDREN AT HACIENDA PURA VIDA BUT THEY MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REVIEW ALL PICTURES TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THE SPACE AND BE EXTRA CAREFUL AS THE LISTING HAS STAIRS, BALCONIES AND OF COURSE, A POOL. LIVING SPACES Hacienda Pura Vida offers multiple living spaces for our guests. Upon entering the property, to your right, awaits the pool table, inviting you to indulge in friendly games and entertainment. Descend the stairs, and you'll discover the full living room with a comfortable sofa, a sleek flat-screen TV, a dining table with 4 chairs, and a fireplace, creating a cozy ambiance. As you step onto the spacious terrace, panoramic views of the mountains unfold, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and leisure. There is an outdoor dining table with seating for 6, a counter area with 4 bar stools, and a comfortable L-shaped sofa. From this expansive terrace, you will encounter the stairs that take you to the spectacular outdoor areas featuring an infinity pool, barbecue pit, fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ, and tons of green space to enjoy the breathtaking views. Ascending to the second floor reveals a modern, fully equipped kitchen where culinary delights come to life. Enjoy the perfect blend of functionality and awe-inspiring scenery, making your time in the kitchen a truly delightful experience. Adjacent to the kitchen is a second, smaller living area, offering an additional space to unwind. Step onto the spectacular terrace with panoramic views, providing both a seating area for relaxation and an awe-inspiring backdrop. The dining room completes this floor, offering a stylish space to savor meals while enjoying the breathtaking surroundings. Hacienda Pura Vida has a laundry room with a washer & dryer, perfect for an extended stay. OUTDOOR AREAS Hacienda Pura Vida’s outdoor areas are a true delight, offering panoramic views that elevate your experience. Take a dip in the infinity pool, or embrace outdoor culinary adventures in the fully equipped kitchen featuring a barbecue, fridge, sink, and stove. With ample seating and lounge chairs, it's an ideal spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. To enhance your outdoor experience, there is a dedicated fire pit surrounded by comfortable chairs, inviting you to unwind while surrounded by mesmerizing mountain views. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS This property comfortably sleeps 12 guests in 4 bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on each floor. DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOMS: The first bedroom downstairs features 2 bunk beds with a full and a twin bed each. It has a flat-screen TV, a dedicated working desk, a dresser, a closet, and an ensuite modern bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom on this floor features a king-sized bed, 2 nightstands, a bench, a closet, and easy access to a full bathroom with a shower right outside the bedroom. UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS: The 3rd bedroom is located upstairs and it features two queen beds and an ensuite bathroom. The 4th bedroom is the master suite which features a king bed, a flat-screen TV, a fireplace, a dedicated working desk, and a stunning modern ensuite bathroom with a double sink and masterful shower. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHEN AND DINING AREA Hacienda Pura Vida's kitchen is the heart of this property. You won’t want to leave this place. It is a fully equipped kitchen featuring a refrigerator and freezer, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, an oven, a coffee maker, an air fryer, and basically everything you need for an extended stay. It has an additional 3-person seating in its counter area. The dining area is right next to the kitchen, and it offers a sleek modern dining table with 6 chairs and the most beautiful view of the mountains. GETTING AROUND & PARKING Renting a car is a must when staying in Cayey. Ubers and taxis won’t get you to this location, and you will need your own car to explore the island. There is parking space for up to four (4) vehicles. LOCATION Hacienda Pura Vida is located in the heart of Cayey. Cayey, located in the central mountainous region of Puerto Rico, is a town known for its scenic beauty, cultural richness, and outdoor attractions. Nestled amidst lush landscapes, Cayey offers visitors a retreat into nature with places like the Carite Forest Reserve, featuring hiking trails and waterfalls. For those seeking adventure, Cerro La Santa provides stunning panoramic views, and the Botijuela Cave offers a fascinating spelunking experience. Culinary enthusiasts can't miss Guavate, famous for its lechón and lively weekend atmosphere. Cayey reflects Puerto Rico's vibrant spirit, making it an ideal destination for those who appreciate natural beauty, cultural exploration, and a welcoming community. Other things to note STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) - 3 garbage bags - 1 roll of paper towels - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) - 1 dish soap - 1 dish sponge - A small amount of laundry detergent Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that. If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule. If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you. INSTANT & LAST-MINUTE BOOKING POLICY Instant Booking is available if reserved at least 2 days before check-in. For same-day or next-day reservations, availability depends on our cleaning schedule. You’re welcome to send a booking request, but please note that this does not guarantee the unit is booked—all requests must be reviewed and approved by our team. Requests sent late at night may not be reviewed until the following day, and same-day bookings are usually not accepted after 6:00 PM. We appreciate your understanding! HOUSE RULES NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 12 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items. TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated. SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted. TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased.
