A truly special retreat in an unforgettable setting. The space Step inside Montgomery Manor, a Grade II listed Georgian country house with medieval origins. This elegant retreat blends historic character with modern comfort, set in the heart of the Forest of Dean within the Wye Valley AONB. Relax in our wood-fired 10-person hot tub, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, sing along with our karaoke system, or dance the night away in our Cellar Bar & Club*. Inside the house you’ll find two spacious lounges, a large country kitchen with a traditional AGA stove and stone hearth, and a formal wood-panelled dining room seating 16 — featuring an original wall carving rescued from the fire at nearby Clearwell Castle. The manor sleeps 16 guests across eight beautiful bedrooms, including a Super King four-poster, six King rooms, and a twin. Two family bathrooms, one en suite, and a downstairs WC ensure comfort for all. By prior arrangement, we can host up to two additional adults or three children for an extra fee. Designed with unique, quirky, and luxurious décor, every room has its own character — from bold colour palettes to vintage finds and creative touches. Outside, the expansive gardens with deckchairs, parasols, and al-fresco dining invite long, lazy afternoons. Families are warmly welcomed, with toys, cots, and high chairs available on request.
