Atmospheric country idyll

Frederiksminde (Stay) is idyllically surrounded by forests and small lakes on Lolland. The island is said to have the most hours of sunshine and the best soil in Denmark. When you arrive, you feel immediately welcome. Despite the size of the house, it oozes coziness. Stress and everyday life disappear immediately and you feel like enjoying the view with a refreshing drink on the terrace. It is impossible not to feel at home and find peace in the beautiful surroundings. The space The farm, which has been in the family's possession for four generations, has undergone a major interior renovation over the past seven years. The house is decorated with passion and respect for the house's original architecture, style and spirit. We will continuously update with more photos as the last rooms and bathrooms are completed. As you live right in the middle of nature, you will automatically experience many different insects and animals. Take a little ride in the boat and look at goldsmiths, butterflies and frogs. Or take a walk and see birds, pheasants and wild game. If you are feeling fresh, you are welcome to swim in the lake. If there is ice on the lake, we have ice hockey skates and figure skates in almost all sizes. At the campfire in the forest, you can make pancakes and marshmallows. You can also say hello to the horses that are in the paddock right next to the house. Rosa and Viola are our two farm cats - they live outside but are very affectionate. There are several things for the children indoors. We have a playroom with plenty of costumes, farm animals, dolls, etc. In the TV room, there is a closet filled with games. In the small alcove in the middle room, there are several shelves with children's books for all ages. Guest access As a guest, you have access to both the ground floor and the 1st floor. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, which have not yet been refurbished. Other things to note Catering: If you don't want to cook for yourself, we have several good and proven catering solutions that we would like to recommend. Please let me know if you need any help. Our chickens: From April 2026, it will be possible to pick up fresh eggs in the morning from our hens – completely free of charge during your stay. Domestic help: Do you need extra help during your stay? We are happy to send contact information for help with cleaning, shopping, table setting, etc. Hotel nearby: If you are holding an event at Frederiksminde and need more overnight stays, we have an agreement with a hotel 3 km from here, where guests get a 10% discount. Yoga Instructor: We collaborate with several yoga instructors who would like to come out to you. Fishing trip: It is possible to rent a fishing boat with an experienced captain. He knows the good fishing spots in the season and takes you out to get the best chance of catching. Clay pigeon shooting: We're working with a director who offers a few hours of clay pigeon shooting on the grounds. The activity is suitable for both beginners and experienced. More info: From May 1, 2026, we will also rent out one of our barns, which is located behind the house. There's room for 100 guests here. Extra sleeping places in the neighboring house: We also have an extra house with room for 8 guests, ready for rent from May 1, 2026. From May 1, 2027, we have 2 extra bedrooms with space for 4 guests as well as an extra toilet at Frederiksminde - so a total of 21 guests will be able to sleep in the house. In addition, we collaborate with a hotel 3 km away with room for 150 guests. We are happy to send links to activities and practical information in the area, such as mobile sauna, yoga and local offers. Heating in the house: If the house is to be heated, it costs DKK 500 per day. Christmas: From November 20, the house is decorated for Christmas. The road: Next to the house is a small road where only 5–10 cars drive slowly by during the day.
