Enjoy the lower level of this cozy log cabin in the Aska Adventure Area. Take the stairs and a 3 minute walk through the woods and across Aska Rd. to the deck on the Toccoa River. After a day of exploring the area, whether hiking, fishing, or visiting local attractions, soak in your very own hot tub. Toccoa Riverside Restaurant, Iron Bridge Cafe, Blue Ridge Tubing and Aska Gem Mining are all within walking distance. The Toccoa River is famous for trout fishing. So bring your rod. The space Rocky River Retreat consists of 800 square feet decorated in a rustic cabin motif. There are two-bedrooms, one-bedroom having a queen size bed the second bedroom offers a queen size bed and bunk beds. The unit has a downstairs entrance and is totally separate from the upstairs unit, where Jane and I live mid October- early May . Your private covered porch offers rustic log rocking chairs, BBQ grill/griddle combo and a private hot tub. Feel free to toast marshmallows in your fire pit. Guest access You will have the entire lower level to yourselves. The unit has a private porch with rocking chairs, barbecue grill, private hot tub and a fire pit in the yard. When you arrive, walk to the left of the house, go down the stepping stones to your rental. You can access the river by walking down the stairs, taking the path and crossing Aska Road to the deck on the Toccoa River. It is a 3 minute walk from your door step. You can also drive down to the river as well. Other things to note From Mid-October to late April , Jane and I reside in the upper portion of the cabin with our two little dogs. The lower portion of the cabin, is the vacation rental and is completely separate from the upper level where Jane and I live. During that time we are available on-site for any assistance or inquiries you may have. For the rest of the year, we are in Montana. Remember, plans can change, especially if fire season gets smoky, we may return sooner than planned. But rest assured, your comfort and privacy are our top priorities. The unit does not have a full stove with an oven. It does have a combination microwave convection oven, a small refrigerator with a freezer, Keurig, toaster, coffee maker, griddle, hot plate and an outside barbecue grill/griddle combo. Rocky River Retreat has a generator that turns on automatically in case of power outages.
