Other things to note You are just a short walk to Green Lake, one of Seattle's most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park is a natural preserve for hundreds of trees, plants, numerous birds, and waterfowl species. The 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics, and swimming. You are also within a 10-minute (or less) drive, Uber, light rail, or bus ride to Seattle's world-class attractions. Take a ride to the top of the Space Needle, browse the craft vendors of Pike Place Market, stroll the shoreline of Discovery Park, see who's playing at Climate Pledge Arena, and tour the unique Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. Head into downtown Seattle at night to dine out at a gourmet restaurant or local cafe. You may even stumble upon a hidden dive bar! Business travelers will appreciate the home's proximity to the city's major tech campuses, including Amazon and Expedia. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy everything from hikes in the Olympic or Cascade mountain ranges to more local attractions like paddle boarding on Lake Washington or a picnic in Gas Works Park! --------- Regarding GUESTS: We require that all guests staying at the property are accounted for in the booking details, primarily for safety and insurance purposes and to prevent check-in issues (i.e., when guests don't have access to the listing information or our contact info). All third-party bookings must be disclosed and approved prior to booking. --------- Regarding SERVICE ANIMALS: We are aware of the value service animals bring to people and of AirBnB's policy of allowing service animals without discrimination unless health and safety become an issue. My parent suffers from severe pet allergies; this is her primary living space when not hosting guests. As such, we can only welcome non-shedding/no-dander companions to our house as we need to guarantee their health. Violations will incur a minimum $450 cleaning fee. You will also be asked to check out immediately and not given a refund. --------- Regarding BUGS AND PESTS: Despite pest control measures, bugs and pests are a natural part of any healthy environment. In Seattle, these are usually harmless sugar ants or fruit flies, which are easily mitigated. Should you encounter any pests or bugs during your stay, please notify us immediately so we can contact pest control to address the situation promptly. We understand that encountering pests can be unpleasant, but please be aware that no refunds will be given for the presence of bugs or pests, as they are an unavoidable aspect of the local environment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a comfortable and clean living space during your stay. --------- Lastly, our property has two distinct homes. When we are not traveling, we reside in the guesthouse. While each space is separate and private, we might cross paths. If you do, don't hesitate to offer a friendly 'hi!' as you enjoy the communal charm of our property. Please note that while our property is listed as an ‘entire house,’ it includes a separate, self-contained basement apartment and garage storage and maintenance area. The basement unit is infrequently occupied. When it is, it is typically only by our property manager when necessary. They are fully committed to respecting our guests’ privacy and ensuring a peaceful stay. This arrangement has been a key part of maintaining the high-quality experience we’ve proudly offered for over seven years. We appreciate your understanding and are always available to address any questions or concerns you may have. Registration Details STR-OPLI-24-000378
