Welcome to our 4-bed 2.5-bath split ranch in a quiet neighborhood right on the canal, perfect for families seeking to enjoy the best of Long Island. Our home is spacious and clean with magnificent views and bidets in every bathroom. It has 1 king bed, 2 queens, one bunk with twin on top and full below, pack-n-play for infants, a spare twin mattress and two couches that would sleep 8 comfortably. Please note, however, that our family-friendly neighborhood is not suitable for parties. We have a strict no-party rule. We are just over a mile from the nearest LIRR station and less than an hour from JFK and LGA. It's the picturesque launching point for everywhere from soft, luxurious south shore beaches including Jones Beach Theater, ripe with concerts all summer long; Fire Island, the barrier islands with iron-red sand; golf courses including the infamous Bethpage Black, home to numerous national golf tournaments; and plentiful local restaurants within minutes. For families with children: This is a perfect home for a family vacation but, as with any waterfront property, careful supervision is necessary due to the inherent dangers of open water. For your convenience, there is a pack-n-play where your child may sleep but you must provide your own bedding. We have a high chair and baby dishes/utensils in the house. Kitchen: guests must exercise caution - there is a step up to the kitchen due to heated floors which are not currently in operation. Basic cookware and table settings provided including baby bowls and utensils! We also have a Keurig, blender, rice cooker. We ask that guests maintain a reasonably clean kitchen and start the dishwasher before leaving. Kitchenette: downstairs we have a little kitchenette with microwave and fridge, but no stove. Bedroom 1: master bedroom on top floor with queen bed and walk-in closet, enough floor space for the pack-and-play stored downstairs, first full bath attached; wake up to beautiful waterfront views, doors open up for a second entry onto the sun-filled deck. Bedroom 2: 2nd bedroom on top floor with queen bed, murphy style, which can be folded up for more floor space e.g. for home exercises. Closet in room. Across the hall from the half bath. Bedroom 3: 1st bedroom downstairs on the left, with a king bed; relax comfortably! Bedroom 4: 2nd bedroom downstairs to the right, bunk bed with a full on bottom and twin on top. Please exercise reasonable caution! We keep a guard rail to help with situational awareness but if you're not comfortable climbing on the bunk bed, please do not attempt to ascend. Bathrooms ALL have Bidets! Heated seats. Remotes are located in each bathroom, please do not remove them. Bathroom 1: top floor full bath attached to bedroom 1 with two sinks and a bathtub/shower Bathroom 2: top floor half bath, in a convenient location to the kitchen/living room/dining Bathroom 3: downstairs full bath with shower, NO tub, off the downstairs living room. Laundry: guests are allowed access to the washer/dryer downstairs. Parking: we have two driveways fitting up to three cars. Street parking is also free but there are a couple of street-cleaning days a year. Though the house has a garage, guests are not permitted access and it has no space for a car. Guests are allowed access to the entire property but not garage not utilities not the cleaning staff storage closet that is locked. With the warning that children should NOT be allowed in the backyard without supervision due to the unlimited access to the canal. We do have a boat on the dock now in the warm season, please do not get on it unless we agree otherwise. Owner reserves the rights to access the boat occasionally through backyard in warm seasons but will let the guests know ahead of time. I will not be at the house during your stay unless there are any issues or unless I let you know ahead of time. I am happy to chat with you about the area and your plans if you would like to though! Rental agreement and photo ID of each guest and security deposits are required to have access to the property. Maximum 8 adults, can have additional 4 children under 18, no more than 10 people in total of adults and kids together. This house is located in Massapequa, Long island, LGA: about 45 minutes in good traffic. Follow your GPS for the clearest highway over. JFK: a half hour drive in good traffic, take Belt Parkway to Southern State Parkway to 28AS for route 135, then hop off exit 1E. From Massapequa LIRR station, it is 1.6 miles; most will Uber this short distance. Parking is on our two driveways - fits up to three cars.
