Whole townhouse in Mineo

A traditional cosy townhouse on 4 floors in a nice location in the charming small hill-top town of Mineo. This is a good base to explore the town (6 minutes walk to the town centre) and south-eastern Sicily. Mineo is welcoming and has great views of Mount Etna and the surrounding countryside. The house is on the top of the hill with a view of a scenic square and church, part of the town and valley, next door to an historic castle site. The house mixes traditional design with modern appliances. The space Cosy townhouse south-facing one of the nicest squares in Mineo and the great church of Santa Maria Maggiore. The modern kitchen with dining area and modern bathroom with shower on the ground floor. The main bedroom with two large single beds together and small balcony is on the first floor. The lounge cum second bedroom (large brand new sofa-bed) with large balcony is on the second floor. You have the whole house to yourselves. There is new air conditioning in the kitchen and main bedroom and ceiling fan in the attic room. The small upstairs lounge, small second bathroom and small roof terrace are on the third floor. The camp-bed on this floor is a small single bed however with a normal mattress, so the house can sleep 4, 5 with someone on the single bed if need be. The property gets plenty of light and has views from the roof terrace, especially good when there are events happening in the square, for example during the regular festivals. It has traditional colourful marble floors throughout, WiFi throughout, smart TV, gas central heating, free parking right in front of the property and roof terrace. The property has 6 rooms plus a roof terrace and two balconies. The roof terrace is a nice space to relax or/and eat a meal, though it is quite small. There are sun chairs and an outdoor table and chairs you can use on there which are found in the attic room (4 chairs). Mineo is about 50 minutes drive from Catania airport and a good place to base yourself to relax and for trips to the beach (1 hour), for Catania, Mount Etna, Syracuse and other lovely small towns in south-east Sicily nearby like Noto, Caltagirone and Ragusa among others. The town of Mineo is fun, with events happening regularly, for example at easter, on saints days, the carnival and christmas etc. The people are very friendly and the location is good for hill-walking and exploring the local country. The sofa-bed on the second floor is large and new and can take 2 adults easily and is simple to convert to a bed. All bedding and towels are provided. There is a manual on the kitchen table explaining all the features of the house and how to use them. There is also a large portable stand-up fan in the attic which can be moved to any room in the house to give a little extra air conditioning if needed in any space. There are stairs to the different floors, there is no escalator. You can hear the nearby church bells from the house (they don't sound at night). The bedroom is fitted with Ikea sound-blocking curtains and the area is generally quiet at night. Guest access You can use the whole house.
