Long Barn - escape the crowds

A spacious long barn with open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area. This is a light and comfortable space in a beautiful spot within five minutes drive of Mawgan Porth (or a walk down the lovely bridlepath.) Long Barn includes a large carpeted bedroom with kingsize bed and a living area with a log burner and comfy seating. The kitchen area includes a dining table, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. The shower room includes a walk in electric shower, basin and loo. The space The space is ideal for a single person or couple. It can also accommodate two additional guests in single beds for an additional fee - please enquire via the messaging system. All linen and bath towels are provided and the kitchen has all essentials. The kitchen and seating area are open-plan and additional guests would have to sleep in this open plan area so please bear this in mind if considering a party of 3 or 4 people. There is plenty of space in the bedroom for a travel cot if you have an infant. We can provide toys and a travel cot and various other useful baby items to help save the packing - please just ask. The log burner makes it especially cosy in winter months. We provide enough logs for one fire but ask that you purchase additional wood if you require it. This can be arranged by messaging us in advance. We also have a separate listing for a two-bedroomed cottage which might better suit a small family. 'The Barn' is on the same site but completely separate and private with it's own hot tub. The Surf Lodge is in a peaceful and secluded spot in the Mawgan Porth Valley. Sheltered from the prevailing winds it is perfect for escaping the crowds, yet within easy reach of many of the great beaches North Cornwall has to offer, including Watergate Bay and Bedruthan Steps, and only 5 minutes from the airport. The nearest beach is Mawgan Porth which can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot down a pretty bridle path. Guest access Private parking outside the property Other things to note Note on access: as we are tucked into the valley in a beautifully sheltered spot, it is not always the easiest place to find. We will provide full directions and address upon booking but please do look up your route before departure as phone reception is very poor in the area so you may struggle to contact us once you leave the main roads. You will need a car for your stay here. We have Starlink internet which is the most reliable service for such a rural area. However, as with anywhere in the UK, internet connection can fail from time to time so if you’re expecting to use the Long Barn for work please bear this in mind.
